Kepri Marine Festival 2016 is the part of Karimata Straits Sail campaign series that has been held since 2009 as it is now the eighth of
Indonesian Sail.
SAIL BUNAKEN 2009. Festival Kepri 2016 will also invite
Aerobatic Team from the Indonesian Air Force and
Parachute Demonstration from the Indonesian Navy.

1200 people of Sadar Wisata group from
Tanjungpinang, Batam and Bintan will
gather at Tanjungpinang to make a
movement against garbage in some
waterfront areas for Sadar Wisata
Movement and Sapta Pesona Action.
Tanjungpinang International
Dragon Boat Race (October
21st-23rd 2016)
This dragon boat race will be the marine event
premiere to welcome Kepri Marine Festival in
Karimata Straits Sail. It is based on Chinese
tradition “Pray for A Safe Voyage”. It is an
international boat race event and participated by
neighbor countries.
Wonderful Indonesia
Sailing
(October 26th-30th 2016)
Wonderful Indonesia Sailing 2016 is a
sailing event initiated by Nongsa Point
Marina and Bandar Bentan Telani as the
yachts’Entry and Exit Point in Riau Islands.
Around 100 yachts will head to
Tanjungpinang after finishing Yacht Rally
and City Tour in Batam and Bintan in order
to enliven Kepri Marine Festival highlight on
October 28th 2016.
Panggung Penyair/The Poet
Stage (October 26th 2016)
The national and Riau Islands Province’s
poets will take part in inflaming the spirit
and the greatness of Indonesian as a
maritime country. Through poetry, the pride
of being a maritime nation will be declared
from Panggung Penyair/The Poet Stage in
front of Tanjungpinang County Hall.
Wonderful Kepri Expo
(October 26th-30th 2016)
Various products of Riau Islands can be
found and bought in Wonderful Kepri Expo.
From the small enterprises until the
established marine industries will be
attractive culinary events, with various Riau
Islands traditional dishes.
The Sound from Motherland of
Malay
(October 27th-28th 2016)
The Sound from Motherland of Malay will
present various Malay and Archipelago
cultural arts, performed by the delegations
of allied Malay countries and other
Indonesian provinces, including the best
performers in Riau Islands.
Carang River Boat Parade
(October 28th 2016)
Hundreds of local boats with various
decorations will have a parade from
Kampung Bulang to Tanjungpinang
seaside in the night as the highlight of
Riau Islands Maritime Festival.
Sky Lantern
(October 28th 2016)
Along with Carang River Festival,
Tanjungpinang sky will be flared by with
the release of thousands of sky lanterns
simultaneously.
Drone Competition
(October 28th 2016)
The Drone Competition will also invigorate
in capturing the beautiful moments in
Kepri Marine Festival and Carang River
Boat Parade.
Kepri Carnival
(October 29th 2016)
As one of Indonesian Carnival Provinces,
on Kepri Marine Festival momentum will
be showed various creative marine
prototype fashions that displayed by 100
talents, as it will be an attraction along
Tanjungpinang waterfront areas.
Traditional and Modern
Games
(October 29th-30th 2016)
Fun, attractive and entertaining! It will be
the ultimate of Kepri Marine Festival by
presenting marine based traditional and
modern games. You can also join or just
watch Panjat Pinang at the sea, Jong
Competition, Penyengat-Tanjungpinang
Swimming, Jet Ski, Fly Board, etc.
