Ancient of Days
We’ve shared this intersection in Sherwood with the Sylvan Hills
First Baptist Church, but do we talk to our neighbors? Even with
our doctrinal disagreements, are there not issues in today’s culture
in which we need to stand together? We will explore this question
in “A Conversation with Our Neighbors” on Wednesday,
September 2nd in the Family Center. SHFBC preacher, Keith
Brickell, and several of their members will join us as Greg
interviews Keith on this very topic. Make plans to attend and be a
part of giving them a warm welcome.

Once again, our employees
enjoyed the luncheon provided by
your congregation. The
complimentary jar of honey was a
“sweet” token. You continue to
go above and beyond to
demonstrate support and
appreciation to our employees.
Your congregation has had a
strong and visible presence in our
community during my entire time
in office. I really believe that
strong churches are vital to a
healthy community. Again,
thanks for all that you do for our
community.
Sincerely,
Virginia R Young

We are praying for all our kids, families, and teachers as they go
back to school. It is going to be a great year! If you have not been sandy@shcofc.org
able to get me a picture of your child, and would like to, please bring one
in the coming weeks to post on the Prayer Board. We are praying for all our kids, so
we want to include all our kids! Babies and teens too! Please remember to pray for
these kids this week!
“House of Prayer” Beam Signing
Join the shepherds at the Re-Building
today from 4:00-6:30 as we prepare
ourselves for the upcoming 40-Days-ofPrayer. We will hand out Sharpie
markers to write a prayer on an interior
construction space — something that
will remain as a hidden part of the
construction. You may decide to come
by yourself, with your family, or bring
your whole Home Group and pray and/
or sing in the new building as your
weekly time together. We will also be
planting the Time Capsule as the walls
will be sealed next week. Come, let us
pray inside our new worship space to
ask God to direct our steps and bring His
glory from this place.
What can
you do with

be glad you did!

Dear church family,
Thank you so much for the
many kind expressions of
sympathy following the passing
of my step-father, Jim Dillehay.
Each one was greatly
appreciated.
In Him,
Gaylon Ratliff
Chad Tibbs is still recovering from
the surgeries to repair his severely
broken elbow. His doctor has said it
will be as many as six or eight
months before he is able to return to
work. If you, or someone you know,
has odd jobs available please call or
text Chad at (501) 553-6117.
Thank you for helping us potentially
save lives in your community. It is
because of your generosity that Life
Line Screening continues to be able to
bring these health screenings into
your area and for that, we are very
appreciative.
We look forward to working together
again!
We appreciate all your help and
support with hosting this community
outreach event.
Sincerely,
Amy Thweatt
