has hosted top sporting athletes and is the perfect base for our Festival.

The centre is comprised of an indoor sports hall with three marked
netball courts, an outdoor netball court, a brand new 50m four lane
outdoor swimming pool with new roof, gym, sauna, conference rooms –
all within 50m to the Hotel Costa Narejos.
With the endless demands on time and with the inclement weather conditions in
the UK, it is a battle trying to fit in coaching and matches prior to events such as
IAPS, National Schools and District Netball Tournaments.
The thought of a Festival of Netball in the sunshine where teams benefit from
excellent coaching and plenty of match experience - plus a bit of fun added in - is
the ideal solution.
Spanish Netball Festival Tournament Director - Yvonne Sampson.
Yvonne coaches teams at National, Regional, County and local club levels, including both
adult and junior clubs, secondary and primary schools, HEI sector, Corporates, and back to
netball levels. Her talent is to design a programme that meets every player’s needs.
Yvonne is currently Head Coach for Manchester Metropolitan University 2014/15 – BUCS
League and appointed Head Coach for the Merseyside England Netball Academy U14 & U16
squads for 2014-2018.
Yvonne is also Head Coach of Warrington Town Netball North West Regional Premiership League and
Head Coach University Manchester 2013/14 – Overall Champions of the BUCS League 2013/14. As an
England Netball Coaching Assessor and qualified Umpire, Yvonne will be assisted by some of England's
finest coaches and umpires.
The Spanish Netball Festival will be reaching new heights for those who want their girls to experience
the next level of coaching and the latest training techniques. Yvonne has assembled a team to amaze each session introducing up to date and dynamic training methods.
Introducing our Strength and Conditioning Netball Specialists
Gemma Bamford is a former Welsh National Netball Player with a BSc Hons
Degree in Sports Therapy. Gemma owns & operates Sports Therapy Clinic in
North Wales offering Sports Injury, Massage and Strength & Conditioning
services working with all ages and abilities. Gemma is also Head Sports
Therapist at Welsh Premier League Club, Gap Connahs Quay Nomads FC and at
Everton FC responsible for the Everton Ladies Development Squad.
Gemma also worked at the London 2012 Olympics & Paralympics, Rugby League World Cup and with the Welsh
National squad , Welsh Netballs National and Regional Squads and on top of all that is a qualified Netball Coach
and Umpire with a passion for the game.
Lisa Parker-Smith – Strength & Conditioning Coach for Oxfordshire netball
Academies. Lisa delivers the Strength & Conditioning programme created by
England Netball for the England netball pathway. Helping the youth player
reach the next part of the pathway! As a former athlete when younger,
competing at County and Regional level, Lisa’s love for sport has never
stopped. Lisa has been been coaching athletics and fitness for 12 years now.
Visions In Education Spanish Netball Festival has become a sought after
destination not only for schools and clubs, but also from qualified coaches and
umpires who want to also expand their knowledge and experience.
Visions ensures that we have qualified
independent coaches and umpires selected from
various locations across the United Kingdom to
participate in the event at La Manga. We
carefully select our team from hundreds of
applicants to ensure we are providing the best
coaches and umpires and using the latest
coaching techniques.
School staff and club coaches will also have skill
development opportunities and increase their
netball knowledge along with the girls. Our
Visions team can also work separately with
coaches to update skills and clarify specific
technical questions.
Visions groups are warmly welcomed and stay at the 4-star Costa Narejos Hotel, situated only
100 metres from the High Performance Infanta Cristina and 100m from the beaches of the Mar
Menor.
Hotel Costa Narejos has a fabulous outdoor pool and jacuzzi/hot tub with lifeguard from 10am
to 6pm, solarium, souvenir shop, 24-hr reception and a full service on-site spa. One of the
features of this tour is the stunning full board meals with the most magnificent range of freshly
prepared food including wonderful fresh local seafood, a superb range of hot and cold dishes,
plenty of delicious protein and vegetarian options, with an amazing separate dessert bar. Costa
Narejos is also a smoke-free property.
There are 193 spacious air-conditioned en-suite guestrooms at Hotel Costa Narejos all fully
