LYON
a safe bet
Lyon is one of the top six urban areas in Western Europe
for real estate investors and is the only city able to challenge
Paris as the most enterprising city of the future, according
to the Ernst&Young city attractiveness rankings for France
(entrepreneurship rankings). These two facts neatly sum
up the attractiveness of real estate in Lyon.
The office, business, and logistics space occupancy rates and
the limited increase in costs per square meter, which are
competitive with the rest of Europe, are essential assets
of the Lyon’s real estate market. In 2010, €384 million were
invested in corporate real estate. In addition, active oversight
policies for major urban projects ensure that there is a dynamic
outlook for the future.
With the Company Welcome Scheme developed by Greater Lyon,
companies benefit from a proximity-oriented approach to help
provide individualized location solutions according to their real
needs in order to:
n
provide a land and real estate solution suited to their needs
n
develop quality services
prioritize development operations in time
and space while taking business conditions into account.
n
With undeniable dynamic mastery, the city continues
its economic growth and attracts entrepreneurs from all walks
of life: service industries, business, logistics and industry.
Knowing, moreover, that the urban area is well known
for its quality of life, we understand why its attractiveness
radiates throughout Europe and the world.

in the corporate real estate market with a varied and quality offering of premises

An attractive
urban area
A resistant,
diverse market
Despite the difficult economic
conditions, Lyon confirmed its position
in the 2010 version of Cushman &
Wakeman’s annual rankings.
Lyon is officially the 19th most
attractive European city, thanks to
the carefully-managed range of new
property that it offers (transparency
and phasing, diverse users,
competitive rental costs).
Lyon’s reputation for business
property is growing. Lyon is ranked
6th for the value for money of its
tertiary-sector property and 15th
for the quality of life of its employees.
A significant number of company
directors see Lyon as an attractive
place to set up business, ahead of
Geneva, Manchester and Hamburg
and equal with Frankfurt.
Lyon has stood up to the economic
climate thanks to a healthy rather
than speculative market, and highquality projects that meet the needs
of businesses.
In 2010, €384 million were invested
in Lyon. Among this total, 53 % were
invested in tertiary-sector property
(83 % in 2009), with the rest mainly
divided between mixed assets (25 %)
and logistics (15 %).
A number of major transactions in late
2010, including the sale of two buildings
‘‘off plan’’, demonstrated that Lyon
remains an attractive city and a safe bet
for investors, on a European scale.

‘‘multipolarisation’’ in the tertiary
sector and the implementation
of property construction projects
to meet business needs (high-quality
property projects that are energy
efficient and accessible by public
transport), tertiary sector activities
remained strong in 2010, particularly
in the city center.
These excellent figures are boosted by
the presence of more large individual
transactions (43 transactions over
1,000 m2 compared with 31 in 2009).
These include: GL Events 8,500 m2 in Confluence, DREAL

- 7,800 m2 in Gerland and Pro-BTP 6,432 m2 in Vaise. Total stock availability
after six months is 282,000m²,

To opt for Lyon rather than Paris
is to choose to make potential savings
of over €1.3 million per year to locate
a decision-making center of 100 people
in 2,000 m² of offices. Relocating to
Lyon also means salary costs that are
5 to 15 % lower and a very competitive
cost per m2: €230 to €250 per m²
for high-end office property, compared
with €830 per m² in Paris…
During this difficult period, the city
can also count on its quality of life,
and the quality of its infrastructure,
which are determining criteria for
locating companies and managements
that are consolidating and rationalizing
their real estate property.

With a standard level unique
in France, the official standards
reference documents for “Offices”
established by Greater Lyon sets
goals that go beyond the HQE
approach (standard RT 2010).
Because very high environmental
quality is essential to employee
comfort and productivity, since
January 1, 2007 a set of official
standards has been applied to all
new service-sector construction
built on land under public control.
Developed and maintained by the

BROADBAND FOR ALL
BUSINESS-HOSTING SITES
Today, 99.97% of Rhône companies
are connected by broadband (DSL).
However, broadband needs are now
doubling every two years. These
needs must be met through fiber
optics, which is the only technology
that can carry extremely high volumes
of information. Because of these very
high levels of investment, providers
limit installation to the most profitable
areas. Greater Lyon’s goal is to
optimize coverage of the region and
promote the competitive dynamics
that provide attractive pricing.
Tomorrow’s challenge for the region
is therefore to develop a competitive
high speed internet offering for all
businesses in the urban area.

Growth
in logistics space
Although Lyon is one of the major
logistics hubs for the north/south-east
backbone of France (Lille/Paris/Lyon/
Marseille), 2010 saw a net decline in
allocated demand: 227,000 m2 was
allocated (364,000 m2 in 2009),
58 % of which was rented.
This reduction, which had been
anticipated by business property
professionals, is due to the fact that
marketing of the major operations
on the outskirts of Lyon was
completed in 2009.
The Nord Isère Region and the
Plaine de l’Ain, in particular, saw new
business set-ups in 2010.
0
The amount of immediately available
property on offer totalled 616,000 m2,
26 % of which was in new
developments. Rental values varied
between €38 per m² in existing
property and €55 in new-build
property.

see the return of dedicated turnkey
projects to overcome a lack of suitable

To decide to set up tertiary-sector premises in Lyon
is to choose to be part of the dynamic appeal of
4.9 million m² of office space: with easy access at
national and European levels, highly competitive costs

At the heart of the Lyon urban area, designed around the TGV station and its direct
connections with Paris and Europe, Lyon Part-Dieu is now the second tertiary-sector cluster
and the second decision-making center in France: the area is home to more than 2,200 businesses
Lyon Part-Dieu offers almost
900,000 m2 of office space, alongside
key, strategic decision-making centers
for the Lyon urban area: local and
national government, headquarters for
regional banking institutions, insurance
companies, major corporations, and
major consulting and engineering
firms. This foundation gives confidence
to investors, with the neighborhood’s
intrinsic qualities attracting companies
and employees looking for a highperformance location that combines

The neighbourhood is a multimodal
platform, including a TGV station
and a fast connection to Lyon-Saint
Exupéry International Airport, as well
as frequent, fast and direct services to
Paris, Marseille and major European
cities. The neighbourhood also boasts
a dense public transport system,
including metro, T1, T3 and T4 tram
lines, 11 bus routes, Vélo’v stations, taxis,
bus station, vehicle rental firms and
more than 8,000 public parking spaces.
With its tram and metro connections,
the neighbourhood is just a short
journey from Lyon’s eastern economic
areas: Villeurbanne, Carré de Soie,
Meyzieu, Lyon Gerland and Lyon
Confluence. Lyon Part-Dieu is also a
major interchange at the heart of Lyon’s
Integrated Transport Network (REAL,
the Lyon RER).
This connectivity is under constant
improvement, and with the opening
of the Rhônexpress rapid tram link in
summer 2010, Lyon Part-Dieu is now
less than 30 minutes from Lyon-Saint

of several public space enhancement
projects.
Within five years, almost 200,000 m²
of new-build and fully renovated office
space, complying with the latest
environmental and comfort standards,
will appear on the market, to satisfy
every-growing levels of demand.
In 2011, Lyon Part-Dieu will continue
to develop its reputation as a dynamic
neighbourhood, with an improved
transport network and even more
tertiary-sector property and business
services available.
Following the opening of Rhônexpress,
two new high-service-level trolleybus
lines (C1 and C2) will be developed
in the neighborhood in 2011, improving
direct links to the northern part of
the urban area.
The railway station will also be
improved to help expand the volume
of multimodal trafic. The main hall
will undergo a general “face lift” to
improve passenger flow and provide
faster connections. A new platform
will be opened in late 2011, increasing
TER regional rail service capacity
and to accommodate the first «Rhine

TOWARDS A BUSINESS
DISTRICT TO RIVAL
ANYWHERE IN EUROPE
A HIGH-ADDED-VALUE,
URBAN TERTIARYSECTOR HUB
The changes in this neighborhood over
the next 20 years will be guided by an
ambitious project, designed to reinforce
its existing assets and improve its
international reputation.
The ambition of Lyon Part-Dieu is to
become the location for innovative
living and working environments, in
high-added-value urban surroundings,
focusing on:
This project will make Lyon Part-Dieu a
permanently competitive and attractive
area to rival anywhere else in France
and Europe, based around a creative,
modern, dense, interconnected and
high-performance business district
offering an unrivalled level of service.
- connectivity at local, national and
international level
Lyon Part-Dieu is expanding rapidly
towards the key milestone of
1.5 million m2 of tertiary-sector
property. The construction of a new
generation of high-rise buildings will
create a new skyline, worthy of any
of Europe’s great business districts.
With its innovative methods and
progressive deployment, the Lyon
Part-Dieu urban project will encourage
collaborative design and construction
programs based on shared interests
and ambitions. As well as tertiarysector property, this project also
includes housing and services,
breaking with traditional approaches
to urban development and anticipating
future uses, services and lifestyles,
both at home and in the workplace.
- easy and fluid movement. All public
spaces will be redesigned to make it
easier to move around and facilitate
access to the different area of the
neighborhood
- shared ground-floor business
services. The aim is to combine
reduced costs and high-quality
employee services by creating
intercompany restaurants and
nurseries, connected meeting rooms,
“logistics” service spaces, concierge
services, convention centers,
collaborative spaces, etc.
- opening up cultural and leisure
facilities to enable people to wait for
their train in the library or catch a
concert at the Auditorium during their
lunch break, for example.
Two flagship operations
in a reinvented neighborhood
n The open railway station:
as the focal point of Lyon Part-Dieu,
the central railway station will be
transformed into an open square,
serving as a public space in harmony
with its urban environment. It will offer
a range of services linked to its role as
a hub: a reception point for business
travelers and tourists, a large-capacity
hotel complex and multiple access
routes to the northern and southern
ends of the neighborhood.
n The heart of Lyon Part-Dieu:
with the transformation of Rue
Garibaldi and the development of the
Auditorium esplanade, the unique
character of this area will be enhanced
and underlined. The development
of the shopping center roof terrace
will create an open-air leisure space
covering more than 7 acres, where
visitors can get away from their busy
urban surroundings. The shopping
center itself will be entirely redesigned
to create greater harmony with
the neighbourhood and to improve
transport links and accessibility.

LYON WEAVES ITS FUTURE
At CARRÉ
DE SOIE
With a commercial and leisure hub, housing and office space between city and nature in an area of 1,200
of the urban area and its major areas of development to the east, Carré de Soie is one of the flagship projects
of the urban area, destined to become a services center in support of the one at Lyon Part-Dieu by 2020.
n
22
A concept in vogue
To the east of Lyon, in Villeurbanne
and Vaulx-en-Velin, the Carré de Soie
enjoys an exceptional environment.
Near the Jonage Canal, the project
is part of the extension of the Grand
Parc de Miribel, one of the largest
natural peri-urban green spaces in
Europe. The development project will
enhance these landscaping assets to
create the "inhabited park" concept,
providing future residents and users
of the site with a new way of living.
n
The first programs
This tertiary-sector project features
12,500 m² of space for ethical finance,
social housing, engineering and
consultancy firms. The first housing
programmes have also been launched
(Bouwfonds Marignan and Rhône
Saône Habitat).
The leisure and retail park developed
by Altaréa opened in spring 2009.
It offers a complex boasting 60,000 m2
of net floor space, focusing on family
entertainment with a Pathé multiplex
cinema with a total of 15 screens,
50 shops and restaurants and
8 supermarkets. A number of
activities will also take place within
the renovated racecourse (pony club,
urban board sports center, etc.).
The installation of this flagship facility
was accompanied by the launch of
the first public transport cluster
programmes. The cooperation and
ethical finance cluster will open for
business in autumn 2011.
2011 will see a number of new
operations to support the development
of a mixed, vibrant neighbourhood.
The TASE factory - an iconic building
that symbolises the past and present of
the neighbourhood - will be converted,
creating around 9,000 m² of space for
offices, tertiary-sector activities and
shops, which will be made available on
the open market. Construction work will
also begin on a tertiary-sector building
of 11,000 m² at the end of the year.
DEVELOPING
A SUSTAINABLE CLUSTER
Some institutions are already planning
their move to Carré de Soie. By 2020,
200,000 m2 of office space will have
been created around a multimodal
hub. The high architectural and
environmental quality aimed at for
the buildings on this site will make
it an ideal location for companies
wishing to ensure high visibility.
Carré de Soie will provide a favorable
environment and attractive work
setting, with company day care
centers, restaurants, personal
services, fitness clubs, etc.

BIOHEALTH,
A VERY HEALTHY
SECTOR
Both in France and abroad, the Lyon urban area is one of the key clusters in
the Life Sciences sector, with three areas of expertise: infectious diseases,
cancer research and neurosciences. The Life Sciences sector in Lyon
currently includes 600 companies, among which are world leaders (sanofi
pasteur, bioMérieux, Mérial, Merck Serono, etc.), SMEs and subsidiaries of
international groups. It also includes 150 academic research laboratories
and 40 hospitals, accounting for 70,000 jobs.
As part of its Life Sciences development strategy, Greater Lyon encourages
public-private partnerships, a key factor for success in innovation and
local development. In this way, Greater Lyon has worked to develop the
Lyonbiopôle competitiveness cluster and the CLARA cancer research
cluster, encouraging exchange between industry, clinicians and academics. Greater Lyon also supports companies and institutions in matters
of land and property to establish, expand or relocate their operations
throughout its region.
Finally, Greater Lyon has introduced and manages a network of institutional partners, offering a full range of services in the Life Sciences sector.
This partnership strategy helps to attract talent, to sustain innovation
and to assist in the creation of companies and in their development.
28
This is a coherent dynamic solution initiated and supported by Greater Lyon,
which is attracting more and more investors and heads of international
companies in the Life Sciences sector.

CLEAN
TECHNOLOGIES
A NATURAL
AMBITION
The Lyon urban area aims to become a
European reference in the clean technologies
field in the coming years. This ambition is
based on the region’s potential, including its
industrial and scientific fabric represented
by the Axelera, Lyon Urban Truck&Bus, or
Tenerrdis competitiveness clusters.
The APPEL eco-companies network also
acts as a source of professional resources
and skills in the environmental sector. It is
supported by Greater Lyon and is a major
actor in the development of clean technologies
in the area, by matching supply with demand.
34
35
Greater Lyon offers a range of dedicated services for
companies developing clean solutions. These services
are designed to:
facilitate experimentation within the urban area
for innovative clean technologies developed by these
companies;
n
promote innovation efforts, with other public partners,
from project financing to incubators for start-up companies,
or even financial engineering;
n
n
promote the skills of local companies;
and, of course, assist clean technology companies planning to set-up business in the area, by directing them to
land and real estate solutions tailored to their needs,
including the construction of custom-built products with
real estate professionals.

The revival of
a historic region
Clean technologies,
a strategic choice
Axelera, the catalyst
for the region
As the southern gateway to
the urban area, Chemical Valley
spans both banks of the Rhone from
the 7th district (Port Edouard Herriot)
to Solaize. On over 2,000 acres, the area
hosts a dozen establishments in the
chemical-petrochemical, fuel and fuel
gas industries representing more than
6,500 direct jobs. Six research centers
for Rhodia, Arkema, Bluestar Silicones,
Total, the French Petroleum Institute
and a joint Rhodia/CNRS research
unit dedicated to polymer composite
materials complete the offering.
Faced with the important challenge
of changing its industrial structure,
the region in the last ten years has
had to cope with focusing those
involved in the chemistry sector
on their priority markets. In this
context, Greater Lyon, in its Company
Welcome Scheme, has now identified
Chemical Valley as a strategic region
for the establishment of clean
technology-related businesses.
Established in 2005, the Axelera
global competitiveness cluster
brings together 150 members from
the worlds of industry, academia and
training, engaged in a process
of collaborative innovation.
MULTIMODAL
FREIGHT TRANSPORT:
A MAJOR ASSET
So the next few years will see
the development of the business
activities that produce new materials
and processes to meet the energy
efficiency and environmental objectives
displayed in the framework of the Lyon
urban area development strategy.
In this respect, AXELERA plans to build
a collaborative innovative platform in
Chemical Valley, focusing on innovative
materials and eco-efficient processes
(buildings dedicated to collaborative
projects, shared facilities, etc.).
Axelera aims to accelerate the
construction of an international-scale
industrial and scientific sector that
combines chemistry and environment.
Chemical Valley boasts a combination
of different, complementary transport
infrastructures, enabling multimodal
goods transport: Port Edouard Herriot,
Triage de Sibellin railway station,
road and motorway (A7) network and
a pipeline network. The area therefore
offers companies an effective and
efficient way to organize their logistics
requirements, using methods other
than road transport alone
to help reduce their greenhouse
gas emissions.

The LyonTech campus is part of
the two university sites in Lyon selected
to participate in the request for proposals
for the "Campus Plan" project, launched
by the Ministry of Higher Education and
Research in early 2008. With this project,
the Université de Lyon aims to make the
LyonTech campus an exhibition ground
for Lyon’s skills in the clean technologies
and post-carbon engineering sectors.
The core of the project involves restoring
the campus based around five scientific
districts: Physics, Biology, Chemistry, IT
and Engineering. The campus’ openness
to the world will be strengthened
by the creation of a collaborative
projects unit, the “Axel’One” technology
platform, managed by the Axelera
Competitiveness Cluster (a collaborative
R&D projects unit in the clean processes
and innovative materials sector) and
an Innovation Center, where economic
stakeholders, Competitiveness Clusters
and research development departments
can come together. New start-up
business hosting facilities
will also be available.
This center, with 9,000 m² of technically
adapted office space, is already host
to small and large companies with
innovative business activities that put
them in close contact with the research
community: schools, the university and
major companies. Its unique organization
allows for the optimal use of all the
resources available to businesses that
want to succeed in the development of
an innovative idea, or a new product or
process, which benefit the university
laboratories in order to promote the
industrial application of their research.
Located close to LyonTech, Einstein
offers 3,300 m² of usable space
dedicated to innovative biotechnology,
ICT and engineering businesses.
The 1,000 m² of incubator space,
managed by Novacité, offers shared
services and locations to start up
businesses that grow out of the
laboratories on campus. By late 2010,
the building housed 24 companies
and had an occupancy rate above 90 %.

technical equipment and offices.
Organized around the flagship building
of the sector, a flour mill with facades
dressed in metal and polycarbonate,
the real estate project offers
opportunities for quality facilities.
In 2009, three buildings were delivered
providing 10,000 m² of rental space and
2,000m² of studios – 4,000 m² of which
has already been marketed.
The driving force for the project,
the Imaginove competitiveness
cluster set up on the PIXEL site
in November 2008.
As a tool for the relocation of
businesses in the region, PIXEL also
helps new businesses to prospect and
set up and also assists in creating new
businesses. PIXEL offers companies in

The park is located between Techlid
and the Vaise Digital area, and
is easily accessible (A6 highway,

favorable location at the western
fringes of the urban area. The em2c
Group is redeveloping the site with
environmental concerns in mind
(vegetation, bioclimatic design,
local energy production, etc.).
Greenopolis is a program that falls
under the PREBAT 2008 scheme, and
is recognized by the Rhône-Alpes
Région and Adème as a flagship
example of low-energy-consumption
construction.
Greenopolis is a “citizens’ business
park”, combining high-quality premises,
integrated management services and
actions designed to encourage the
development of stable employment.
The inclusion of the park in
the La Duchère urban free zone
also demonstrates the strong support
for this project from the urban area’s
economic stakeholders.

A COMMITMENT TO
PLANNING UNDERTAKEN
FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
Well served and
an attractive location
A landscaped environment of 37 acres
hosts the technical facilities of
the Industrial Park. It provides
a sustainable transport link
(pedestrians/cyclists) between the
north and south of the Meyzieu-Jonage
Industrial Zone and towards the T3/
Rhônexpress railway station. SERL
(the developer of the site) and Greater
Lyon are working together to promote
a new business concept through
sustainable design of buildings,
particularly by encouraging the use
of natural resources and reducing
energy consumption.
With a direct connection via the A46
to the entire motorway network,
the prime attraction of the ongoing
expansion of the Meyzieu-Jonage
Industrial Zone is its accessibility:
Lyon is 30 minutes away and LyonSaint Exupéry International Airport
just 10 minutes away. The Les Gaulnes
Industrial Park will also soon be
created on the Paris-Marseille road
via the connection to the A432, and the
bypass east of Meyzieu will provide
a showcase for businesses.The
Industrial Zone and the Les Gaulnes
Industrial Park also benefit from strong
public transport links, including the T3
tram line (access to Lyon city center in
30 minutes) and, as of 2010, the fast
Leslys line connecting to Lyon-Saint
Exupéry in 5 minutes…

LYON-SAINT EXUPÉRY: MORE THAN AN AIRPORT,

LYON-SAINT EXUPÉRY

REAL ESTATE
52
Lyon-Saint Exupéry is more than just an airport – it is a high-performance multimodal platform,
a genuine center of environmental excellence that hosts a multitude of shops and services.
Last summer, a direct express transport link was completed, connecting
the airport to downtown Lyon. Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport is developing
an ambitious real estate program, aiming to become a "City airport" connected
to the rest of the world.

program for the "Southern Airport
Triangle", a 15-acre area at the
southern entrance to the platform.
With a wide range of shops, services and
restaurants, the airport is also a place
where the 5,500 staff of 210 companies
located on the site work. The site has
had an inter-company nursery since
2008. Lyon-Saint Exupéry will be a great
place to work! A call for tenders has
been launched to completely overhaul
the shopping and service areas. The
aim is to facilitate movement between
the various stores and to expand the
range of retail options available.
By 2015, the total amount of retail
space will have tripled.
n an aeronautics training center,
which will be operated by Air Campus
Simulflight Center, located at the
northern end of the plot, covering
around 11,000 m² of net floor space and
including 215 parking spaces;
By road (A6, A7, A42, and A43 motorway
interchanges), rail (TGV) or air (more
than 120 direct destinations), the airport
offers businesses a passenger and
cargo hub that is unique in Europe.
All major European cities are accessible
by direct flights and roundtrips daily.
The construction of the new Terminal
3 for low-cost traffic began this year.
This will increase the airport’s air travel
capacity. With its own TGV station,
the airport is less than two hours from
Paris city center and will be connected
to the EuroCarex European express
freight network by 2015.
The airport is linked to the Lyon PartDieu TGV station in less than 30 minutes
via the "Rhonexpress" tram line. It also
benefits from a connection to the TER
regional rail services and quick and
easy links to the Loire, Ain, Drôme, Nord
PACA and southern Burgundy regions
of France. This is a connection that will
strengthen the sustainable development
policy that the companies at the Lyon
Airports site have been following over
the past decade.

LYON-SAINT EXUPÉRY:
EXEMPLARY GROWTH
Lyon Airports manage over 40,000 m²
of leasable surface area and more
than 200,000 m² of land.
With 2,200 acres of available land,
which is unique in France, this is
expected to expand greatly in the
years to come. The DB-Schenker
Group, the No. 2 in international
transit, has already grouped all its
business activities together at LyonSaint Exupéry, accounting for a total
of 20,000m². Since summer 2009,
the Business Hub service-sector unit
has offered services within walking
distance of the terminals, and an
additional 10,000m² of offices.
This development strategy continues
with the development and marketing
(by CFA Rhône-Alpes) of a real estate
The program includes:
n a mixed business park including office
and business premises, which will be
developed along the airport access
road, covering around 18,500 m² of net
floor space and including
660 parking spaces. This represents
29,500 m2 net floor space in total.

Data centers are coming back to center stage. Construction of these data processing centers
has resumed over the last two years, faced with companies’ growing needs for gigabytes. The sector is expected
to experience double-digit growth over the coming years. The Lyon urban area provides fertile ground for those
who want to invest in IT storage, while giving a new lease of life to their real estate assets.

A town with fiber!
Turnkey storage space
The Lyon urban area has an excellent
fiber optics telecom infrastructure,
particularly through the presence of
two GIX points (internet interconnection
nodes) that accelerate and secure data
exchange. It also has electrical power
substations available near the prime
contractors, research laboratories,
and service centers. Investors can also
count on a labor pool of highly-qualified
workers and on the presence of the best
website management specialists.
Only 30 minutes from Lyon, the Plaine
de l'Ain Industrial Park offers
the opportunity to construct turnkey
data center campuses. This 2,220-acre
park has already been approached
by global Internet leaders: it has
cutting-edge telecom infrastructure
with three possible entry points for
fiber optics, a power supply with highlevel security, and ground quality that
will provide both safety and savings
in construction. This industrial park
is ISO 14,001 certified and EMAS
(Environmental Management Audit
System) registered, is surrounded
by 450 acres of green space, and has
no less than 750 fully equipped acres
still available.
Rental of computer storage
space for businesses is becoming
a real opportunity to convert and
redevelop real estate property.
Former warehouses and other
outdated buildings are perfect
for accommodating a data center,
provided the structural requirements
are taken into account: the building
must have a floor with sufficient
weight-bearing capacity and be
equipped with ventilation, a dual
power supply, fiber optics, etc.
Greater Lyon is assisting companies
by designing a program to redevelop
properties by setting up dedicated
task forces that bring together the
various stakeholders (EDF/RTE,
ISPs, France Telecom, urban
planners, consultants, etc.).
