In this new single-camera romantic comedy from NBC, a trio of engaging couples takes a comedic trial and error approach to life, love, and relationships. Dave (Kyle Bornheimer, Worst Week) and Julia (Christine Woods, Flash Forward) are the “normal” couple who sometimes sacrifice their own happiness to appease their friends. Vance, (Dave Walton, 100 Questions) Dave’s needy best friend and his neurotic girlfriend Amy (Mary Elizabeth Ellis, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) have a passionate, tempestuous relationship. They bring out the good, the bad, and the very ugly in each other. The third couple features Rex (Hayes MacArthur, She’s Out of My League), a reformed party animal, and his wife, Leigh (Olivia Munn, Attack of the Show), who regards herself as the matriarch of the group. They believe they’re the relationship experts; they have the solution for every problem. The pilot showcases the group sharing fun, fights, shocking admissions and a game night gone wrong. Created by Jon Pollack (30 Rock), and Scott Silveri (Friends) and directed by Andy Ackerman (Seinfeld, The New Adventures of Old Christine), Perfect Couples was originally shot in Manhattan Beach and has since found a home at CBS Studio Center, on Stages 17 & 20.
