WORLD MISSION SUNDAY
Next Sunday, World Mission Sunday, our Holy Father,
Pope Francis, calls every Catholic to celebrate at the
Eucharist, our vocation to be missionary and to help the
Missions. As Catholics around the world, here at home and
in the Missions, gather at the Eucharistic table, let us pray
for the Church’s worldwide mission and offer financial help
through the Propagation of the Faith for more than 1,150
dioceses in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Pacific
Islands. Thank you for your generosity.
PROFESSIONAL THERAPY AND COUNSELING
Professional therapy, provided by New York State licensed therapists, is available to our parish and 147
other parishes. This program, under the direction of Dr. George Giuliani, has been conducted in the diocese
for the past 41 years for the convenience of parishioners. It is provided by the Catholic Counseling Center,
a proprietary professional corporation, which is independent of and not controlled or supervised by the parish or diocese. Most insurance policies, including Medicare, are honored. For confidential information and
appointments, please call Dr. Giuliani at the Catholic Counseling Center at (631) 243-2503 or go to our
website at http://www.thecatholiccounselingcenter.com

Faith on Tap!
Faith on Tap is a forum engaging young adults in straight talk
and honest answers to questions of faith. It is a genuine and
sincere effort to reach out and meet the young adults of this
diocese and to listen and to respond to what matters to them
as young adults in the Church. Faith on Tap also offers young
adults a place where they can meet others who are also living
out their faith.
Join us for our next Faith on Tap on Thursday, October 8,
2015 at Lily Flanagan’s at 345 Deer Park Avenue,
Babylon. Our guest speaker will by Ryan Williams,
Associate Academic Dean for St. Joseph’s Seminary of the
Archdiocese and is responsible for the operations at both
Huntington and Douglaston. The topic for the night is
something we call all relate to .. “How to Make time for Leisure
with a Busy Work Schedule”. If you think you’re too busy for
the talk .. then you may need to hear it! God never intended us
to be THAT busy! . The talks begin at 7:30, but come early have something to eat – meet new friends – catch up with old
friends! There will be an opportunity for those in attendance to
offer feedback and ideas for future gatherings. For more
information, please contact Marianne Sheridan, Director for
Young Adults at msheridan@drvc.org.
