Kiwanis Club of Topsail Island May 2015 KIWANIS NEWS Improving the World One child One Community at a time Greeting fellow Kiwanians, May is now upon us and the Tourist have begun their journey to the Island. While they sometimes seem to be a little aggravating it does keep our local businesses on good footing. Our thanks to Rick Benton and his committee for an outstanding Golf Tournament. The money raised was better than expected and it was all possible because of the good work of the committee. The scholarship breakfast is scheduled for May 26th here at our regular meeting space. We had a good response from our schools and look forward to meeting the scholarship winners on the 26th. Karen King is taking reservations for our breakfast. Food Pantry collections will start soon and we will be asking members to bring food donations to the Welcome Center. More information to follow. Tim Hodell is trying to determine exactly who within our club has received a Hixson Award. If you have received this award in the past please let Time know. See you on Tuesday!!!
