As students head back to school, be sure to add a library card to your supply list to gain access to a wealth of print and digital resources. Already have a card - introduce your Wixom friends and neighbors to the Library and show them all the benefits of a library card! Anyone who gets a library card or refers someone to get a card will have their name entered into a drawing for a prize basket. MOBILE HOTSPOTS The Library is pleased to announce that we now offer mobile hotspots to checkout! The hotspots provide wireless Internet access at home or on-the-go wherever there is a Sprint signal and can connect up to 10 devices. The hotspot creates a wireless network so patrons can connect any Wi-Fi enabled mobile device, laptop, printer, digital camera or gaming device. The hotspots are available to Wixom Library cardholders who are over 18 and can be borrowed for either 3 or 7 days with no renewals or holds. Check out a hotspot at the Check-Out Desk! THANK YOU FOR PASSING THE LIBRARY MILLAGE On August 2, 2016, the Library millage renewal passed with Wixom residents voting 1303 Yes to 317 No to support the 1.08 library millage renewal for the next ten years. This renewal was essential as it is our main source of funding for operating, maintaining and equipping the Library. By passing, the Library will be able to continue to offer the quality services our patrons expect, including a variety of materials in print and electronic format, programming for all ages, technology and a staff that connects the Wixom community with the resources they need.
