New Projects Northwood Bridge MR61 Constructionline
Transcription
October 2014 Northwood Bridge MR61 Livis were awarded this project to renew a bridge approach access road to MR61 Northwood Bridge. The site is very restricted with access through a residential area onto the Victorian brick arched bridge which was extended several decades ago. The site is adjacent to the busy Metropolitan Line. The extension has subsequently moved and needs urgent replacement. Our construction works involved the erection of access / protection scaffold, erected during engineering shifts, for the removal of the existing brick work parapet walls. Following which the existing road surface has had to be removed and a piling mat installed for the installation of bored piles. All plant has had to be specifically sized due to the restrictions of the site. The remaining works include the parapet wall extended brick work toe to be removed to under side of new road slab in preparation to install a reinforced concrete slab. When completed new reinforced concrete parapet walls will be constructed prior to the new HRA road surfacing laid to complete the reinstatement. New Projects Livis have been awarded the following contracts: West Harrow The contract is for the temporary design and installation of mechanical props to allow a 22m section of platform to be lowered. Baker Street These works consist of the replacement of nosing stones on Platform 2 of the Metropolitan Line. Bond Street These works consist of the installation of a platform hump behind the Livis Safety Barrier on the Jubilee Line Platform, which is closed due to upgrade works taking place. 3 Sites Humps Package Constructionline Livis has attained Certification to join, the register of pre-qualified suppliers of services within the construction sector. Our membership of the government certification service additionally confirms we are automatically PAS 91: 2013 compliant. The schemes ensure best practise in construction activities and that they are relevant and kept up to date with industry and government standards. This enables procurement professionals within the construction industry to select with confidence from an elite list of pre-qualified suppliers of construction services. This contract is for nosing stone replacement works at West Finchley and Woodside Park Stations. At Charing Cross station we will be installing a platform hump to provide step free access on platforms 5 and 6. Decommissioning Works This contract is across multiple locations including Kent and West Sussex, we are decommissioning former electrical substations. Our works consist of carrying out asbestos surveys, full demolition of reinforced concrete raft structures and disposal of transformer oil. Bond Street - Livis Safety Barrier System Livis undertook the installation of the Livis Safety Barrier System at Bond Street earlier this year. The barrier was installed during a possession on both platforms of the Jubilee line. The barrier will be in place at Bond Street for up to 5 months, allowing Costain Laing O’Rourke JV (CoLOR) to undertake their upgrade works 24/7. As the barrier is in place for so long, it has been fixed to the platform surface with bolts and brackets, rather than using the vacuum system. Weekly visual inspections are carried out along with monthly maintenance visits to check performance. Welcome to... Access to the site which at the back end of the station was challenging as this has to be made across a farmer’s field. Trackway matting had to be installed in the site compound to give a good surface for vehicles and machinery to drive on too. More informationGlobal Flexible Barrier Films for Electronics Market
Flexible barrier films is a flexible substrate or barriers made to protect the electronic components from degradation caused due to oxygen and water and other environment factors. There is increasing development of electronic devices that offer flexible form factor which provide, lightweight, robust and versatile application usage without compromising performance of the device. These devices like flexible electronics and photovoltaic need to survive with necessary time and conditions as per acceptable device requirement. These conditions acts as limitation for many organic, flexible and printed electronics because most of the material used in these electronics are chemically reactive to environmental factors like oxygen and moisture.
