In the early 60s, Charles Fahrer created his own brand and transformed his mixedfarming holding into an exclusively wine-growing company. The estate is today at the hands of his son Thierry and his wife Nathalie. They have made the choice of an environment-friendly winegrowing. Putting grass in the vineyard and tillage are the key components of their farming methods. They allow indigenous flora and fauna to create a balanced environment and favor the expression of terroir. After manually picking the grapes from the vines and sorting them directly on the vineyard, they carry out a soft and slow pressing in order to preserve the whole grape. The fermentations are realized from natural yeast and the ageing on the lees are extended to the maximum to allow wines to age, to enhance their bouquet and to express the personality of the land they come from. Encouraged by my father and grand father’s know-how, I decided to continue a traditional culture of vines to preserve genuineness soil and conserve the Muscadet specificity. Twenty years ago, Chantal and Jean created their estates. Maroussia, their younger daughter aged of 30 started to work with them in 2010. Together, they grow 30 hectares of vines of AOC Quincy and AOC Reuilly and produced 180 to 220 000 bottles.
