Acoustic Guitar
Manila Theatre Camps
In this introductory course, students
(Ages 9 and up) will learn basic strumming patterns, simple chord progressions, tuning methods and note identification. Students supply their own
guitar and book. Book may be purchased from instructor Charles Moody.
June 6-10– Monday– Friday
Elementary Grades 2nd-5th Basics
of acting and character building. Lots
of fun acting/character development
games. Friday’s performance will be
short sketches and monologues.

Middle School Camp– Grades 6-9
This camp will be focused on Musical
Theatre. You will cover the basics of
acting and creating a character . Friday’s performance will be short musical theatre scenes.
This class for piano students offers
group instruction with individual
attention in an electronic piano lab.
Course will include basic reading,
rhythmic and theory skills, as well as
basic chord patterns. Fun piano activities too!!

SHOW CHOIR
Join Mandy Miller singing and dancing to the music of “Motown” in a
fun-filled week with all your friends.

performance on Friday for family and
friends. Participants will receive a CD
to help them learn the music.

SUMO Challenge Robotics allows students the opportunity to showcase
their STEM skills by competing against
other teams in dynamic challenges.
The hands-on challenges serve a dual
purpose: They introduce STEM concepts and their many applications and
reinforce STEM fundamentals learned
in the classroom. Two self-controlled/
autonomous LEGO Mindstorms robots
are placed in a ring and compete headto-head.

Summer Enrichment
Camp is a program
designed for highly
motivated students
who are performing
above grade level,
eager to learn, able
to work independently and are wellbehaved. Highly qualified teachers
from Memphis representing CLUE
(Creative Learning in a Unique Environment) will instruct the students.
The one week session is designed to
provide fun and challenging summer
enrichment. Through this camp, students will use their creative writing
and thinking skills, learn about character development and illustration.
And they will use watercolors and ink
to create their comics.

KIDS SELF DEFENSE
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
This class will be packed with fun for
the kids. They’ll learn the importance
of self-discipline, self-control, and self
-esteem all while learning the basic
principles of the wonderful selfdefense art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Is your “best friend” driving you
nuts? Beginning dog obedience class
for dogs 4 months to 12 months will
be offered with the handler and dog
working together in basic fundamentals. Sits, sit-stays, down, downstays, recall, standing for examination, leading in several formations,
socialization skills, training, as a companion dog and a well-mannered dog
for the home will be covered. A Canine Good-Citizen will be awarded at
the last session for those who have

First stop is Scott City .This winery is in
a century old farmhouse nestled in
the hills above the Mississippi River.
We will tour the winery and have
lunch here.
Next stop is Ste. Genevieve. Beautiful
vistas of the river and the lush vineyard await you! Take a 30-minute
guided tour of the winery, which include a five—flight wine tasting and
souvenir wine glass.
St. Louis awaits with a special dinner
at the Bissell Mansion Restaurant and
Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre. The
rest of the evening is “on your own”
to either head back to the hotel or
enjoy the St . Louis nightlife.

There are few places on earth where
the marriage of soil and climate is
blessed by great wine grapes. The
vineyards of Hermannhof are among
them. We will depart at around 3:00
pm and stop for dinner in Cape
Girardeau on the way home.

Registration deadline is 24 hours before the first class meets, so please register early.
Payments: Make check payable to ANC. For your convenience, we also accept most credit cards. The cost of the class is listed in the schedule. Please note that
some classes have material fees. Note: You are not registered until payment has been received.
Cancellations: All classes require a minimum enrollment to be offered. No class will conducted without sufficient registration. Our office will notify you only if the
class is cancelled.
Refunds: No refunds will be given once class has started. If we cancel a class, you will be given a full refund after cancellation.
If you must cancel a class, cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to the start of the class for a full refund.
Inclement Weather: When ANC cancels classes due to inclement weather, Community Education classes will be cancelled and rescheduled.
