Fall 2012 Clarinet Auditions WSU clarinet student, Below is an outline of what is expected for your Fall 2012 ensemble audition. It will cover excerpts, scales, and sightreading. All music students must audition for ensemble placement. If you have any questions about the process, please do not hesitate to contact me. (8th notes for freshman and sophomore, 16th notes for all others at the tempos listed above) Sightreading: You will sightread an excerpt from the upcoming ensemble repertoire or something from a standard etude or method book.
