Welcome Back!
Welcome back TPP students!
First of all, we moved to a new office! We are now located in the
Transfer Center which is in the Campus Center lower level. We made
the move before the semester to provide you with the best service
possible to help you transfer and get going on your career path. As
always, the Teacher Prep Program gets serious about transfer in the
fall. And as we have in the past, we are collaborating with the Transfer Center to bring you activities and events to help you get to the
next step. Check out the College/Transfer Fair on Oct. 12 and meet
with university reps. We also scheduled several workshops to assist
you with university applications as well as teaching related activities
throughout the semester. What else is new? Check out our new office with more career resources with extended office hours during
the week; use our student work stations to complete your transfer
application; talk with our Essay Doctor to ace the personal statement;
get to know your options by going on field trips to Loyola and other 4year universities, and celebrate the semester with staff and mentors in December. We are ready to help you!

Transfer Days at Loyola Marymount University
The purpose of the Teacher Preparation Pipeline Program at LMU is to provide individual and specialized
assistance to transfer students who want to pursue a career in education. Part academic counseling, peertutoring, and career development focused, the TPP program is committed to guiding future teachers like you
through the fulfilling process of transferring, earning a bachelors degree and teaching credentials – but from
start to finish. Among its many services, the TPP program at LMU offers individual and group campus tours.
This fall we are providing Transfer Days that are designed especially for first year community college students interested in learning about all that LMU has to offer. In order to more fully support you, we will provide
transportation, lunch and information about the transfer process to LMU. This event is an opportunity to introduce students to the unique benefits and educational opportunities available at LMU. Our goal is to show
you that LMU is a wonderfully diverse and dynamic four-year University that will provide you with great experiences and the life tools you seek from college. This year our fall Transfer Days are scheduled for Friday, September 25, 2009 and Friday, October 23, 2009 from 9:00am to 3:00 p.m. Please call Mission’s Transfer
Center at 818-364-7827 to reserve a spot.
