Our CIT Director will train participants in several areas including: leadership, safety, curriculum development, and behavior management, to name just a few! CITs will undergo training on these topics the first day of their session and then be assigned to a camp for hands-on experience for the remainder of their time at camp. CITs will learn new skills and will be given a written evaluation at the end of their camp session. Not only will CITs have a great time working with the kids, they will leave equipped with life skills to help them in their future. In order for CITs and campers to have the best experience possible, it is important that we have the appropriate amount of CITs at each camp, during each camp week. Therefore, some weeks may fill up. Pets in the Parks Dogs, cats, and other pets are allowed in Northfield Park District Parks if they are under the control of their owner, on a leash no longer than 15 feet, and their excrement is immediately removed and properly disposed. Brochure Errors Due to the large amount of information available in the Northfield Park District brochure, errors may sometimes occur. There may be last minute changes in days and times of classes, registration requirements and fees once the brochure has already been sent to the printer. We apologize for any errors in this brochure, and if they occur we will advise you of the changes as quickly as possible. We thank you for your patience and understanding when these situations arise. Class Cancellation and Changes Classes may have to be canceled when there are not enough participants enrolled within several days before the first class. Those participants who have signed up for the canceled class will be notified and a full refund issued. Because of early publication dates, the Northfield Park District reserves the right to make changes to the programming listed in its publications. Sometimes circumstances outside our control make necessary a change in the original information listed or in media information. These changes may include but are not limited to instructor, day, dates, time, location, fee, or actual program content. Please register early! Nothing kills a good program faster than waiting until the last minute to register for it. At some point, we have to determine if our enrollment is sufficient to hold the class. Termination of Participation The Park District reserves the right to terminate the participation of any individual in any Park District program, event or facility for disruptive behavior or if it is considered by the Park District that the continued participation of the individual is not in the best interest of the participant or others who are involved in the program. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding in keeping our programs on a non-competitive level and helping our children have fun while learning and growing with their peers. Photo Release By registering for any Park District program you agree to allow publication of any photos taken at any program, event or facility of the Northfield Park District. We cannot be at every program or event to take pictures. We are asking parents, relatives and friends to donate color or black & white photos to the Park District for publication in our brochures. Photos will be acknowledged in the brochures if desired. Photos will be returned, if requested. 36 Northfield Park District Spring Summer 2015 Index Northfield 4th of July.................................................2 Lacrosse...................................................................12 General Information..................................................3 Summer Camps Giggle Gang.............................................................13 Trailblazers...............................................................14 Sports Made Personal (SMP) Sports Camp.................15 Counselor in Training (CIT’s).....................................16 Explorers..................................................................16 Before Camp............................................................17 Extended Camp........................................................17 Day Camp Important Information.............................17 Northfield Park District’s Egg-stravaganza..................4 Special Events District 29 Early Dismissal..........................................4 Abracadabra!
