players.

The TV transmission from the World
Cup in France was viewed by a record
number of 4bn viewers worldwide, this
can only be compared with the
Football world cup and the Olympics.

Rugby is a sport that is different, with
a specific and fascinating aura. Rugby
was created in the nineteenth century
and till this day is perceived as a sport
for the elites.

In the last two years the perception of
rugby has grown, even in Poland. It is
regularly presented on Eurosport,
Polsat Sport, Canal Plus, SportKlub.

Before the game there will be intensive
communication with the media such as:

The weekend before the match there will be an open
training session of the Polish national team at the Pola
Mokotowskie (in a form of a picnic)
A teaser in the form of a rugby ball, will be sent out to
journalists and VIP’s, saying „Poland in the Rugby World
Cup, New Zealand 2011, watch the qualifier PolandBelgium at the Polonia Stadium”
An organised press conference with coaches from both
teams, sponsors and celebrities (on a floodlit pitch of the
stadium)
A rugby knowledge FAQ supplement will appear in one
of our press patrons newspapers, also press info about
the event will be sent out

city and in chosen pubs/clubs
Handing out a few thousand rugby balls that will be an open invitation to the
game

We promote rugby
• The Poland – Belgium match is the perfect
opportunity to officially begin the ambitious project to
promote rugby in Poland
– „Rivals on field, friends for life” – a programme run
for a decade promoting and developing rugby
– „Join the All Blacks, Poland in New Zealand 2011”
is the first part of the programme
– The Programme plans to create youth rugby teams all
around Poland and organise tournaments for them
–The prize for the best teams will be a trip to see the
World Cup in New Zealand 2011

Warszawskie Towarzystwo Rugby „BARBARIANS”
The Society started in 2008. Its aim is to support and
promote rugby in Poland.
Frogs & Co Warszawa RFC
Since 12 years is the organiser of the biggest amateur
rugby tournament in Central and Eastern Europe – the
Warsaw 10’s. The revenue is donated to charity. In total
Frogs have raised over PLN 250 000. Some of the Frogs
foundation members are managers of foreign companies
that are based in Poland.
