Hold with both hands & gently push pod onto the
locating lugs on bowl handle.
Tighten the two thumbscrews with care not to over
tighten.
The pod can be removed periodically for through
cleaning if required.
The use of the thumbscrews is an option to secure
the pod over numerous treatment sessions if
required.
A plastic disposable liner can be used by simply
inserting the foot bowl.
This will make it easier to clean and more hygienic.
After each session please dispose of plastic liners.
Keep away from children.
GETTING STARTED
When fitting the liner take care not to cover the pod
forease of operation.
Connect the power DC plug to the pod.
Connect the lead from the plug to the
power supply unit.
A green light will illuminate on the pod.
Plug in the mains lead from the power supply unit
and turn on.

GETTING STARTED
Connect the DC plug from the array to the pod.
Fit the array on to the retaining lug in the bottom of
the foot bowl.
Fill the bowl with clean warm tap water for each
session to just below the top of 'windows' on the
Array.
Allow for rise in water when the clients feet are
placed in the bowl. (Water should be around the top
of the 'window' when feet are in the bowl)
Use in a well ventilated room.

GETTING STARTED
Place feet into the bowl of warm water, do not stand
or put undue weight on the bowl or pod.
Depress the ON/OFF button.
When the Pod is first turned on “Mary Staggs Detox“
is displayed for a few seconds.
A few seconds later the session time
options will be displayed with a time period of 10
minutes.
As the first setting.
Select appropriate time by pressing the MODE
button once to advance to 20 minutes.
Press the MODE button a second time to advance to
30 minutes.
(30 minutes is the recommended session time)
GETTING STARTED
When you have chosen your session time press the
START button. The electronic timer will display the
remaining time.
DO NOT use any electrical or battery devices, i.e.:
mobile telephone or laptops, during your session.
DO NOT smoke during and up to 30 minutes after
session.
DO NOT use on an empty stomach.
Drink water during the session.
Add fine table or sea salt until reading is approximately 1.70 to 1.90 amps. DO NOT add any other
substances such as mineral salts or essential oils.
Every water region is different so practice carefully
until you are confident in adding the correct amount,
note it for future sessions. At 1.70 amps a buzzer
indicates that the correct level has been reached.
Please note: If too much salt is added, at 2.00 amps
a “High salt“ warning will be displayed and a bleep
will sound.
At 2.4 amps the display reads “ Over Current Too
much salt?“
and the unit switches off.
If this happens start again with fresh water, adding
less salt.
HOW TO USE
Using the system
Within a few minutes, once the amp reading has reached the approx. 1.70, the colour of the water begins
to change. This is principally the chemical reaction due to electrolysis and nothing to be alarmed by.
Many factors are involved in the amount of colour change: water, salt, metal of the Array and the actual
person. The water in some regions produce a very dramatic colour change and others just a slight
discolouration. The effect on each person is the same whatever the colour change.

Either press OFF or the unit

CLEANING
Maintaining & Cleaning
Remove array and rinse under tap,
making sure not to wet the DC plug.
By squeezing the outside bottom edge
of the array, the end cap will release.
Remove end cap for ease of cleaning.
Rinse inside of the array.
Array cleaner is used neat from the
supplied bottle. It normally lasts the life
of the Array.
Fill a container with the cleaning liquid
supplied. It can be used several times.
Submerge the array in the cleaning
liquid and leave for several minutes.
Rinse the cleaning fluid from the array
and leave to dry.
Locate end cap on to two of the lugs
and press to fit.
CAUTION
Once end cap is fitted, store in a dry
place or in a jug of water to prevent
oxidation.
Dispose of water with care in the sink
with the tap running or in the WC.
Rinse and wipe clean with a non abrasive cleaner and give one final rinse with
clean water. Dry and store.
Warnings while in use
• Make sure the water temperature is not too hot before immersing the feet.
• Use in a well ventilated room.
• Do not use on an empty stomach or while fasting.
• Do not stand or place undue weight on the bowl.
• Do not smoke during session or up to 30 minutes afterwards.
• Do not use mobile phones or other electrical equipment in close proximity as the Mary Staggs
Detox may interfere with such equipment.
• Use clean water for each person.
• Use only fine sea or table salt.
• Dispose of treatment water through flushing or diluting.
• Dispose of plastic liner after each single use.
• Store in clean dry conditions.
• Do not place broken skin into water.
• High risk patients consult with their primary physician.
• Keep plastic liners out of the reach of children.
• Do not allow children to play unsupervised in the area.
• Do not use more than every other day unless otherwise directed.
• Disposal: In accordance with local regulations. Do not incinerate as plastics may give off
harmful fumes.
• Maintenance: No user servicable parts. Refer to manufacturer. Do not attempt to repair.
• In an Emergency, switch off mains electrical socket at the wall and remove plug.
QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions
Question:
Green light does not come on the pod when I plug the power supply into the mains. Why?
Answer:
Check the mains socket is turned on.
Make sure the connections on the power supply unit are correctly plugged in. Make
sure that the DC power plug is plugged in correctly.
Question:
How many times can I use the array?
Answer:
The array will corrode, the amount of corrosion depends very much on the water
quality in your area, a regular inspection should be carried out and the array
replaced when excessive corrosion is observed or when the array no longer works
correctly. Array has come to the end of its life when no amp reading is displayed.
Question:
How many times can I use the array cleaner?
Answer:
Until cleaning fluid is no longer effective.
Question:
Can I use the liner more than once?
Answer:
The liners can only be used once for hygiene reasons, and should be disposed of with
care, keep away from children and animals.
Question:
The water does not change color very much. Is the detox unit not working?
Answer:
The color of the water will vary from person to person and from region to region
because of the water difference i.e. Hard water, soft water, chemical treatments of
different types.
CONTRAINDICATION
Who should NOT use a Detox
• Anyone with a surgical implant that operates with batteries like a pacemaker.
• Epileptics
• Transplant patients.
Patients who have received a transplant need to take a regular
basic medication to avoid organ rejection. Although not proven, there could occur
interference in said protocol. This same theory could be applied to other similar
medication (patients at risk that need life saving drugs on a continual basis that
depress the immune system, coagulation etc.)
Treatment under such circumstances must be at all times under medical supervision.
• Pregnancy.
Mary Staggs Detox is designed to work with one bio-electrical system at a
time, as each system has its own properties. In the case of pregnancy, there are two
bio-energetic fields present which could possible interfere with each other.
• Haemophiliacs.
Haemophilia is a fault in the coagulation system of the body. Some of
the factors that promote coagulation do not function correctly or are missing.
