FOUL BALL CAUTION
D I SC L A IM E R T O O U R FA NS A ND O U R S P O NS O R S
In the interest of your safety, your attention is invited to the
following. Except for those spectators behind the protective
screen, all other persons present are subject to the possibility
of being hit by a flying object from the field. Balls batted from
the playing field, wildly thrown balls, a thrown or broken bat,
or even a “doughnut” swinging off the end of a warm-up batters’ bat, often times makes their way into the stadium seats.
Baseball is an inherently dangerous game, and you should,
for your own safety, pay close attention to the game and keep
your eyes on the matters on the playing field at all times.
Protected areas recommended for your seating are behind
the protective screen erected for your safety. For those of
you and parents who have small children, you are asked to
explain the danger to the children, and also to protect them
from harm by seating them behind the protective screen.
With these warnings, we hope you’ll enjoy the ball game in a
safe atmosphere. Kindly listen to all announcements made for
your benefit and protection over the public address system.
WADE STADIUM BEER RULES
1.
2.
3.

deemed intoxicated.
Minnesota State Law prohibits the sale of beer to
anyone under the age of 21.
The sale of alcoholic beverages will stop at at the
end of the 9th inning or 10 p.m., whichever
comes first. All patrons wishing to purchase
alcohol must secure a wristband. Wristbands are
available at Fan Services. Please do not drive from
Wade Stadium under the influence of alcohol. If need
be, the Huskies will help you summon a taxi cab.
Drinking beer at a Huskies game can be a most enjoyable
experience. PLEASE DRINK RESPONSIBLY.

Remembering
Jim Kelly
Jim Kelly was a true fan of Huskies
baseball. From the historic nature
of Wade Stadium to the raw talent
of young players from around
the country, he recognized the
team — and the games — as truly special and a tremendous asset to Duluth.
Jim’s applause was loud, his cheers demanding. Watching
baseball with him wasn’t just about the game - it was about
the experience. His unique ability to remember facts about
each player stunned and amused those around him, particu-
larly those who frequented the Kennel Klub alongside him.
Jim witnessed his last Huskies game on July 4, 2015 in the
Kennel Klub with his “kiddos.” Like the countless times
before, he had a blast. He wore a grin for nine innings.
Jim was diagnosed with cancer two months later. He
passed away Dec. 18, 2015.
In memory of Jim and his love for the game, his family, friends
and community members have donated four picnic tables in the
Kennel Klub. It is his family’s hope that these seats will be used
by those who share his appreciation for Huskies baseball. His
family would like to thank the Huskies team — players and
employees past and present — for their love of the game and
commitment to the baseball fans of this city.

BRIEF BIO:
The Bottle Jockeys were formed in 2015 by Duluth musicians Tony Derrick, Chris Whittier, Scott Millis, Ben
Marsen and frontman, Chad Lyons. Most have been playing in bands all over the Duluth area for the last 20
years. The Bottle Jockeys’ sound mixes classic rhythm & blues from the 50’s to the 70’s with early rock and
soul. They can be found playing their brand of big-beat party music any week of the year in the Twin Ports
area. And they happen to love Huskies baseball.
THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF WADE
Historic Wade Municipal Stadium was built in 1941 and
opened its gates on July 16 of that year. The original name
of the ballpark was Municipal All Sports Stadium. The city
renamed it Wade Stadium in 1954 after Frank Wade.
Lost Children
The wall surrounding the ballpark is made of 381,000
bricks taken from Grand Avenue after the street was torn
up in 1940.
Rain Checks
We have put together some rules and policies to
make your visit to the Wade more enjoyable.
Alcohol Regulations
Law prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages to intoxicated persons. Patrons purchasing alcohol must be
21 years of age and must provide proof of legal age.
All patrons wishing to purchase alcohol must secure a
wristband in order to purchase alcohol. Wristbands are
available at fan services. The sale of alcoholic beverages
will stop at the end of the 9th inning or 10 p.m., whichever comes first.
Animals
The Wade is pet friendly, contact the Duluth Huskies for
more information.
Conduct
Huskies management reserves the right to revoke tickets of
any patrons using obscene or abusive language, exhibiting
inappropriate behavior, or that appear to be intoxicated.
Fans who enter the playing field or interfere with the play
of the game are also subject to removal from the stadium.
First Aid
Lost children will be taken to Fan Services. If separated
from a child, inform a stadium usher or staff member
and report to Fan Services.
If a game is postponed due to inclement weather, ticket
holders may exchange ticket stubs from that game for
a game of their choice. The ticket holder is entitled to a
ticket of equal or lesser value, subject to availability. There
will be no monetary refunds. If the game has completed
at least four and a half innings, it qualifies as an official
NWL game and rainchecks do not apply. The Kennel Klub
Sports Deck rain policy is located on your game ticket.
Smoking Policy
No smoking allowed anywhere inside of Wade Stadium.
Smoking permitted in Wade Stadium parking lot.
Taxi
If you are in need of transportation from Wade Stadium,
please contact a stadium employee and they will call a
taxi for you. If you or a member of your party has had too
much to drink, the Huskies encourage the use of a taxi.
Wheelchair Access
Fans in wheelchairs can enter the stadium through the
main entrance. Wheelchair spaces are available in front
of the left and right field bleacher stands. Contact an
usher if you need assistance.
No Sunflower Seeds allowed inside
Wade Stadium.
Fans needing first aid or other medical assistance should
locate an usher or staff member. Emergency medical
service is available by contacting the Fan Services desk in
the main concourse.
Foul Balls
Fans are encouraged to keep any baseball thrown or
batted into the stands. However, please be aware of any
ball or bat leaving play and entering the stands. Fans
should be alert to the danger at all times. The Huskies
are NOT RESPONSIBLE for any injuries resulting from
such accidents.
Lost and Found
Lost and found items should be taken to Fan Services in
the main concourse.

Minnesota
Power is
RENEWABLE
We’re tapping into the power of rivers in Minnesota and the
wind that sweeps across the plains to provide clean, carbon-free
electricity. We own the largest wind farm in North Dakota and are
well on our way to generating one-third of our electricity from
renewable sources, including wind, water and solar.
That’s EnergyForward.
