December Highlights
During the month of December, we focused on the life and legacy of our
founder, Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop. Our children worked very hard to learn
and sing songs in dedication to our beloved Princess. Thank you to all of our
'ohana who came out to our annual Founder's Day celebration on December 19.
Our children loved seeing you all there!
!
Meanwhile, this month...
This month, we are currently learning about the life of Pauahi's husband,
Charles Reed Bishop. Although he was not of the ali'i descent, he still
played an imperative role in helping to make the Kamehameha Schools.
Our children are having so much fun singing songs in memory of him.
When you have a chance, be sure to check out the portraits that the
children have made in dedication to this remarkable man as well as our
Princess in our classroom!
We are also focusing on transportation. The children love learning about
the different kinds of transportation modes and what they do in our
community. In relation to this, the children love reading books, using
cookie cutters in our Playdoh center, as well as "fishing" for a variety of
cars, trucks, and airplanes in our sensory bin.
