UA Piping Industry College of British Columbia About The UAPICBC is governed by a cooperative business and union committee that supports opportunities in employment, for successful students completing our programmes. We are PCTIA (Private Career Training Institutions Agency) accredited and ITA (Industry Training Authority) designated, to offer piping trades apprenticeship training in the following disciplines: • Piping Foundation • Plumbing levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 • Sprinklerfitting levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 • Steamfitting levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 • Welding levels C, B and A Student Financial Aid Services The UAPICBC has a number of financial aid opportunities available to our students: • Funding through Service Canada (E.I. Steamfitter LEVEL 1 Training consists of learning the basics of the steamfitting trade with an emphasis on safety. Drafting and systems process is a strong focus, in addition to many practical shop projects. • Special Purpose Piping • Pipe Fabrication • Pipe Erection • Pipe Bending • Hot Water Heating • Pumps • Fire Protection Systems • Fuel Oil Systems• Leveling Instruments and Tools Steamfitter LEVEL 3 Past the half-way point in your apprenticeship, this level of technical training focuses on steam systems, fluid, power and supply systems. • Water Supply • Fluid Power Pneumatics • High Pressure Steam • Low Pressure Steam Heating FORT ST. Steamfitting is a multi-faceted trade, encompassing a wide array of responsibilities over an even wider range of working environments. From fabrication shops, to shipyards, through to pulp mills, and water treatment plants, right up to oil refineries, and even nuclear power plants -- steamfitting has it all! There are four levels of technical training for the steamfitting apprenticeship.
