14th August 2013 News Bulletin Tasmanians serving Tasmanians CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER News Bulletin CONTACTS Ph: 63 910 200 Grant Hinchcliffe Coca Cola Amatil (CCA) Expanded Range / Revised Pricing Arrangements via the SIW DC for the IGA Retailer Network Supplier # 30117a As previously advised in an earlier ‘Retailer Alert’ (05/06/2013), Tasmanian Independent Retailers (TIR) has been working closely with CCA on dual ranging its core supermarket SKU’s via the SIW TASRDC (SIW DC) for its IGA retailer network. There have been many discussions over many years regarding the option of expanding the CCA SKU range via the SIW DC and needless to say TIR is now pleased that a mutually acceptable resolution to this long standing issue has now been achieved. With effect from Monday 12/08/2013 the core CCA supermarket SKU range is now also available from the SIW DC – details of the specific SKU’s along with current pricing are included with this advice (please note this pricing excludes promotional case deals). TIR can further confirm that the pricing structure for all stock purchased via the SIW DC will be identical to that of the CCA Route Trade with the same landed in store cost (LISC), irrespective of IGA channel structure or store location. TIR further confirms that all purchases via the SIW DC will accrue a 3.00% rebate via the PIP program and will also be included in the purchases base relevant to any future EDF allocations. A shift in purchases for the CCA SKU’s, along with other recent DSD conversions (Smiths, Snack Brands, Sakata etc) may also result in a reduction in your SIW service fee which is calculated based on your cumulative store purchases exc. cigarettes – please note the current service fee structure is based on multiple tiers starting from 1.80% to 5.00%. Any increased volume via the SIW DC also provides it with the ability to fractionalise its warehouse cost over a wider base, which in addition to other operational benefits attained through higher volume, allows it to keep its cost LOW and hence the subsequent fees that you are charged – this point TIR can simply not stress enough. TIR Retail Operations Staff will be in contact over the coming weeks to discuss your specific store requirements and other matters relevant to the revised ranging and pricing arrangements for CCA that are now in place via the SIW DC. The Current CCA route trade network will continue as is and hence retailers can also acquire stock via this option if necessary. Spring in to Action Promotion To further support the upcoming Spring into Action national IGA promotion, we have secured new TV adverts specific for this promotion which will promote two product and price adverts each week. This is on top of our TV advertising we normally run. Details of which lines are featured will be show on your promotion retail sheets you receive in your weekly mail-outs or are also available via the retailer’s zone on the www.igatas.com.au website. For the first week (week 34 22 August) it will feature Bulla Ice Cream 2ltr $3.99 and Mr Muscle Trigger Cleaner 500ml also at $3.99. Copies of the TV Adverts for your interest will be made available shortly before going to air also on the retailer’s zone on our web site (www.igatas.com.au). Also, Monday the 19th an advert will appear to launch the competition. Following this, each Thursday for four weeks starting 22/8, we will have a Spring into Action themed ½ page advert, advertising 5 extra specials for the brands involved in the consumer competition which is then further supported by inclusion of some of these lines in the catalogues on the same weeks. Note; there will be different specials each week, some are advertised and some in-store only.
