na film
pt. "PASJA "
Mela Gibsona
w niedzielę 13
marca o godz.
12pm
(zaraz po kawie)
Film tłumaczony na język polski.
"PASJA" jest wstrząsającym
opisem ostatnich 12 godzin życia
Jezusa Chrystusa. To
zdecydowanie najmocniejsze
przedstawienie Pasji z jakim
spotkaliśmy sie do tej pory w
kinie. Film jest wierny przekazom
historycznym, biblijnym oraz
teologicznym. Aby podkreślić
autentyczność historii, aktorzy
posługują się dwoma wymarłymi
językami: aramejskim i łaciną.
"Pasja" to obrazowe dzieło sztuki
prowokujace do poważnego
myślenia i refleksji nad śmiercią
Chrystusa. Jest to film o wierze,
nadziei, miłości i przebaczeniu, a
wiec o tym czego bardzo potrzeba
w dzisiejszych burzliwych
czasach. http://1.fwcdn.pl/

In the
Scripture…
What are the plenary indulgences associated with the
Year of Mercy?
Like all past Jubilees in the Church, the Year of Mercy features
a very special plenary indulgence—the complete remission of
all temporal punishment due to sin. In celebration of this
Extraordinary Jubilee, Pope Francis is making the indulgence
as widely available as possible.
"To experience and obtain the Indulgence, the faithful are
called to make a brief pilgrimage to the Holy Door, open in
every Cathedral or in the churches designated by the Diocesan
Bishop, and in the four Papal Basilicas in Rome, as a sign of
the deep desire for true conversion." -Pope Francis
To receive the Jubilee Year indulgence, you must fulfill the
usual conditions, and perform the act of indulgence: passing
through a designated Holy Door during the extraordinary
Jubilee Year of Mercy, or performing one of the Corporal or
Spiritual Works of Mercy.
Conditions for the Gaining of an indulgence
It is necessary that the faithful be in the state of grace at least at
the time the indulgenced work is completed.
A plenary indulgence can be gained only once a day. In order
to obtain it, the faithful must, in addition to being in the state
of grace:
Have the interior disposition of complete detachment from sin,
even venial sin;
Have sacramentally confessed their sins;
Receive the Holy Eucharist (it is certainly better to receive it
while participating in Holy Mass, but for the indulgence only
Holy Communion is required); and
Pray for the intentions of the Supreme Pontiff.
It is appropriate, but not necessary, that the sacramental
Confession and especially Holy Communion and the prayer for
the Pope's intentions take place on the same day that the
indulgenced work is performed; but it is sufficient that these
sacred rites and prayers be carried out within several days
(about 20) before or after the indulgenced act. Prayer for the
Pope's intentions is left to the choice of the faithful, but an
Our Father and a Hail Mary are suggested. One sacramental
Confession suffices for several plenary indulgences, but a
separate Holy Communion and a separate prayer for the Holy
Father's intentions are required for each plenary indulgence.
For the sake of those legitimately impeded, confessors can
commute both the work prescribed and the conditions
required (except, obviously, detachment from even venial sin).
Indulgences can always be applied either to oneself or to the
souls of the deceased, but they cannot be applied to other
persons living on earth.
There is something about starting over. A new
page. A new year.
A new week.
That feeling that
the past is the
past. I like to
think that people who have messed up in some way
get a second chance, and that they learn from their
mistakes.
The parable in John’s gospel is one of my own favorites. I wish I could have been there to see the scribes
and the Pharisees who thought they had a “gotcha”
moment. “Let the one among you who is without
sin be the first to throw
a stone at her,” Jesus tells
them, as this poor woman stands there. Jesus goes
back to tracing patterns in the dirt as the Pharisees and
scribes melt away. Jesus does not condemn the woman
either as he tells her to go and sin no more.
In my own world, when I feel judgmental of others, I
need to remember that powerful phrase. I can strive to
start over, to know that God will welcome me as I am.
I can try to live that way in my own life. I can remember the verse before the Gospel where God
says: “Return to me with your whole heart, for I am
gracious and merciful.” I pray that I return to God every day, every hour with a whole heart.
The large Votive Lamps on the Main Altar & at the
Divine Mercy Shrine are lit for your special intentions on Friday night and continue to burn the following week until the candle burns itself
out. The envelopes for lighting a
Votive Lamp are in the pews and on
the table in back of the church.
Candles are burning for:

Fridays during Lent are
days of abstinence.
Abstinence binds all persons who are at least 14 years old, unless prevented by poor health. On days of abstinence, the
consumption of meat is not allowed. The Church strongly encourages the observance of Friday abstinence, however, failure
to do so is not regarded as a sin. Lent is a penitential season and as such religious practices such as daily Mass, reception of
the Sacrament of Penance, the devotion of the Stations of the Cross, works of charity and justice, and acts of self-denial are
highly encouraged.
G oo d F rid a y i s d a y of f a st & ab stin enc e . Fasting binds people 18 years old up to 59 years old, unless
prevented by poor health. On days of fasting, one full meal is allowed. Two other meals, sufficient to maintain strength, may be
taken according to one’s own needs. Eating between meals is not allowed although fluids may be taken.
