Chapter president, Jonathan Powell, has selected an artist to paint a mural reflecting the history of the Air Force in aircraft. In addition, space is allocated for members to have their name and a 'from' date placed in a designated area on the mural. Donations are solicited at $5 or more to assist in funding the cost of the mural. Page 1 In the photo, Lawrence Sagstetter, Rawlings Chapter Vice-President of Communications, presents US Senator Amy Klobuchar with a stuffed aviator. The presentation took place at Klobuchar's Washington, DC office in the Hart Senate Office Building Thursday morning, September 19. Larry was in Washington, DC representing EW Rawlings Chapter as a delegate to the 2013 national AFA convention. One of the goals of delegates attending the convention is to visit congressional offices on behalf of AFA, to keep officeholders informed of Air Force issues and policies favored by AFA. Every year Larry visits Minnesota's US Senators on Capitol Hill. This year he was able to meet with Senator Klobuchar and her staff members. As you can see in the photo, she loved receiving the stuffed aviator.
