The 75th Annual Convention & Business Meeting
The MDNA 75th Annual Convention &
Business Meeting is May 5 - 8, 2016 at
The Broadmoor, Colorado Springs, CO
The BROADMOOR is located in the heart of one of the
most beautiful and historic places on Earth. The Pikes
Peak region abounds with dozens of attractions that
are open year-round and appeal to sightseers, nature,
sports and adventure-minded travelers of every age.
Pikes Peak: America’s Mountain – Reaching 14,115 feet,
scenic Pike’s Peak. Katharine Lee Bates penned “America the Beautiful” in 1893 after visiting the summit.
The BROADMOOR Pikes Peak Cog Railway – For 115
years, the Manitou and Pike’s Peak Railway has taken
passengers to the 14,115 foot summit.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN “Hi” PARTY
Our opening night Welcome Party will be held in the Broadmoor's majestic
Cheyenne Lodge, located on the slopes of the Rockies high above the hotel
itself. With spectacular views of the mountains and Colorado Springs it is the
perfect venue to say “hi” to friends. Enjoy a cocktail reception on the deck
designed around an outdoor fireplace. Then the authentic lodge will be the
setting for a buffet dinner and lively entertainment. It is sure to be a high
point of the convention!

The Spouse Event features a tour of the Garden of the Gods, a national
landmark. You will experience dramatic views of 300 foot towering
sandstone rock formations against a backdrop of snow-capped Pikes Peak
and brilliant blue skies. Then we will visit historic downtown Manitou
Springs. This artists' enclave is a treasure trove of art galleries and boutique
shops. These activities will culminate with a wonderful lunch, where we will
enjoy our tradition of visiting with old friends and meeting new friends.

Federal Bureau of Investigation – Anti Fraud Seminar
Field agents from the Denver Field Office will take us through the many ways
to protect our business and ensure that we take the necessary precautions to
help keep machine tools out of the hands of bad guys as we do business
around the world.
Topics include The Red Flags to Look for When Receiving Requests from
Around the World:
*Too eager to pay more for an item
*Buying expensive items with no inspection or due diligence
*Money coming from one country with machine going to another country
They will also cover these topics that every machinery dealer should know:
* Export compliance and security
* Correct ECCN numbers and determining when an export license is needed
* How to get an export license when required to do so
* General fraud problems and signals to look out for

Your MDNA President, Officer Team, and Committee Chairmen will report to
you on the progress and plans that our various committees and subsidiaries
(Including Membership, Public Relations, Chapter Leadership, AMEA, and
LOCATOR) are making to help maintain a strong and growing association.
Also included in the Annual Meeting is the election of our National Officers.
The Annual Meeting portion will start at 9:00 a.m. At that time all non-MD-
NA Members will be asked to leave the room.

It’s time to play….Family Feud! Join AMEA as we present our own take on
the popular television game show Family Feud. You and your fellow machinery dealers will be teamed up to form your own “Machinery Family” and
compete against one another to test your machinery knowledge. The
program is sure to be entertaining, educational and a great laugh. Even
better, the winning team will walk away with some great prizes!
