TED NUGENT KAMP FOR KIDS
TED NUGENT KAMP FOR KIDS Again this year a wet Saturday was in store for the 104 participants of the June 7th, 2014 Ted Nugent Kamp For Kids held at Walnut Creek Lake in Papillion. This was the 17th year that Nebraska has hosted a camp and the 26th anniversary of their founding by Ted Nugent. This was the 5th year that the NWA has assisted at the camp by hosting the fishing instruction. There were six one hour sessions broken into a quick 15 minute instruction and then 45 minutes of fishing. Awards were given to each group for largest and smallest fish caught. A ½ price Nebraska Youth Hunt/Fish permit was given to a lucky 13 year old Abram Butler by the NWA Kids Charity. The Nebraska Chapter of the Ted Nugent Kamp For Kids paid for the ½ price, so this was a totally free permit. All of the campers received several gifts including a rod & reel, courtesy of the Ted Nugent Kamp. Rich Losee, Larry Klanderud and Rich McShane were the instructors for the camp.
