Alumni Good Samaritan
Tyler Skarda „98 lives in Phoenix, AZ and was recently featured in a news article on KPHO Channel 5. Tyler was riding a
Valley light rail train when he found a $400 check on the floor.
The check was a money order made out to a Phoenix apartment complex. He called the office manager, but they were not
able to give out any information. When he mentioned he had
found a check, they became very excited. The woman who lost
the check had been living on the streets for the past few months
until she saved up enough money to move into an apartment. If
she didn‟t get the check back, she‟d remain homeless. She
said, “I‟m just thankful that there are people like Tyler out there.
It gives you hope. It gives you a lot of hope that there are good
people out there.”
Way to go, Tyler!!
This was submitted by another alumni in the area who read
the article and recognized Tyler‟s name.
