Great Falls Farmer’s Market Email: mikeborger406@gmail.com Facebook: www.facebook.com/BigSkyRustics Vendor since 2013 We sell a variety of home décor items made from 100% recycled materials. From frames and vases, to tables, utensil holders and beer crates, we offer something for everyone. I am a Montanan by choice and at heart. My love for the outdoors, and all this state has to offer, hooked me when I was young, drew me here to live as a young man, and where my wife and I are raising our four children. As a kid, my dad started me woodworking and my love for it has grown and brought me to starting my business out of that love. I recently lost my dear friend and mentor who I was privileged to work with for many years. The work ethic and business skills that he taught me are second to none and it’s that model from which I have developed my own business Big Sky Rustics. I started working with reclaimed and recycled wood materials because I enjoy the challenge of making something out of what other people thru away. We completed our first trade show, the made in Montana Marketplance, in March and did well! We won Honorable Mention for Best New Vendor, we are proud of that as there were over 30 new vendors there! We look forward to sharing our creations at the Farmer’s Market and a new area of the community. Always Fresh…Always Fun! Pull toys, bookends, small rocking horses, barbed wire stars, cloth stars, plastic bag holders, purse slipcovers, dishcloths, hot pads, mittens, bookmarks, ribbon blankets, hats My husband and I moved to Montana 12 years ago and we bought a small acreage to have our hobby farm. We raise miniature Dexter cattle and have chickens. I started making the bunny pull toy for a place that sold them. Then I went on to create 7 more animals for my sister when her grandchildren visited. She said they would get them out and pull them all over the house every time they came. So I went on to put the same animals onto bookends and gave them as gifts. Then after sitting out in the hot sun my first Farmer’s Market I noticed a lot of kids weren’t wearing hats, so I started sewing lined bucket hats and that took off. I had been in 4-H and had taken sewing and numerous other classes. We replaced a lot of barbed wire so that’s where the stars got started. The magnetic purse slipcovers were a request from gals at my daughter’s workplace. The other items were things I came across and thought they would be fun to make. I have a love affair with fabric so am always on the search, especially for good deals. Always Fresh…Always Fun! Great Falls Farmer’s Market Great Falls Farmer’s Market Forty Seventh Street Design Sue Ukrainetz-Johnson Great Falls, MT. 406-899-0549 Email: FortySeventhSt@optimum.net Facebook: Forty Seventh Street Design Vendor since 2004 100% wool felted bags using hand felted appliques or accents using vintage pieces. Mixed fiber infinity scarfs, collars and hoods. Trendy scarf/shawls, slouchy hats and boot cuffs. "Phinee Lou" flower hats, headbands and pins. In the past few years my work has grown from intricate beadwork and costumes to creating pieces using 100% wool. Felting is an amazing fiber art form. I love how a simple crochet bag can fuse wool fibers and become a beautiful work of art. The search for vintage jewelry or even buttons crafted by other artisans add the finishing touch to my bags. Each bag is unique and truly a labor of love. My works are inspired by my beautiful daughters and grand-daughters. They always keep me updated on all the trendy styles and are constantly challenging me to create new and different designs. My husband is my biggest supporter. We love to travel to shows across Montana. The Chokecherry Festival in Lewistown, Art on the Levee in Fort Benton and juried shows like Art in Washoe Park in Anaconda are some of our favorites. We both appreciate all the talented Montana artisans who work so hard developing their craft. Mostly, we enjoy meeting people in our travels across our beautiful state. Vendor since 2010 Note cards, gift cards, gift tags, return address labels, hot pads, coasters, candle holder covers, and baskets made from yarn I began doing macramé in the 70’s and then started doing weaving and basketry with my mom. We started going to shows throughout Central Montana with my dad creating all the display fixtures that we needed. We had our work in shops all over Montana. Unfortunately, after a few years, I developed a skin allergy to jute and other fibers so we had to stop. Several years ago, I decided to try doing a form of basketry again - this time using variegated yarn. I started making hot pads and coasters for friends and family. For years I have been creating cards on the computer and sending them to family and friends for every occasion. I started receiving requests for my note cards and return address labels to be given as gifts. I have been taking pictures as long as I can remember. I started selling prints at market. In 2010, I began offering portrait sessions, mostly for high school seniors. I also have been an avid gardener for as long as I remember. Therefore, I offer heirloom plants and seed early season, and fresh flowers. Like so many others, we were sad to see Burger Master close their doors. No matter the occasion, that was the place we could all agree to go. Since then we have craved the messy Lynn’s Burger. Well we have finally taken our love for yummy food and the greatness of some Great Falls classics and started our business, Yummies Concession. If you’re a fan of the Lynn’s or Ramp Burger, or maybe you’re a lover of the Montana Famous Beer Baron? Fresh cut curly fries? Or how about some deep-fried oreos? Our additions to these classics will bring you back for more! Stop by and experience the old and new tastes of Great Falls! Always Fresh…Always Fun! Always Fresh…Always Fun!
