NATIONAL – Wanted for Armed Robbery and Attempted Murder
James Louis Whittlesey is wanted for a an armed robbery of a United Bank which
occurred on 10/14/11 in Winchester, Virginia, and has been charged with Aggravated
Bank Robbery in addition to a state charge of Attempted Capital Murder of a Police
Officer. In addition to the 10/14/2011 armed robbery in Winchester, Whittlesey has also
been identified as a suspect in a number of additional armed robberies including three in
central Pennsylvania and one in Delaware. Read More »
NEW YORK & SOUTH CAROLINA – Home Invasion
On October 23, 2011 at approximately 2:30 pm four subjects were involved in a home invasion that
occurred in the city of Spartanburg, SC. The suspects fled in a gray 2003 Dodge Caravan bearing NY

NATIONAL – Multi-State Auto Parts Theft Ring
On 10/11/11, the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of 3 to 4 males wearing gloves
walking from a wooded area at the rear of the LeRoy Tops Store in the village of LeRoy, NY. The area where
the subjects were observed walking from is a Copart vehicle storage area. The subjects were seen getting
into a silver van. Deputies subsequently located a 2000 Oldsmobile Silhouette bearing a fake temporary
Arkansas registration and found to be occupied by five Honduran males. A gray 2004 Ford Extended Cab
with ladder racks bearing NC registration ZWP2666 was also located and found to be occupied by three
Hondurans. Four of the subjects were subsequently detained by ICE as illegals. Some of the individuals
possessed CT and NC driver’s licenses. The vehicles contained reciprocating saws, numerous blades and
related vehicle stripping tools stored in IKEA bags along with an empty generator box that was linked to an
auto stripping case on Long Island. It’s believed the suspects were casing the LeRoy Copart Auto site for a

included Quincy, Salem and North Billerica in MA as well as addresses in VT, CT, WA, NC, TN, LA, and FL.

FLORIDA – U.S. Postal Service Carriers Assaulted for Keys
The U.S. Postal Service and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement are seeking
information as it relates to a recent series of assaults and robberies of Postal Service mail
carriers in the Miami region. Mail carriers have been the victims of attacks in which criminals
are targeting them in order to obtain the postal “Arrow Key”. An Arrow Key is official U.S.
government property issued to mail carriers and utilized in the performance of their official
duties. The key provides access to gated communities, apartment panel boxes, blue street
collection boxes, and high rise mail rooms. It is a highly sought after item especially for
subjects involved in identity theft crimes. Read More »

COLONIE – Robbery
Colonie PD is investigating a strong-arm robbery that occurred on 10/22/11 at 8:15 am at EZ News and
Grocery located at 1987 Central Avenue. The female suspect forced her way around the counter and took
approximately $100 in cash from the register. The clerk was then told to lie on the floor
and not to call anyone or she would get hurt. The suspect fled northbound on Oliver St.
in a dark extended cab pickup truck. The truck is believed to be a General Motors brand
truck and does appear to have newer gold colored license plates attached. The female
appears to be in her 30’s and could be seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, Capri
style pants and dark framed glasses. Female also appears to be wearing a blue bandana
on her head.

GLENMONT – Attempt to Identify
On Thursday, 10/20/11, at 5:00 pm, the pictured subject entered the Glenmont Staples store and
attempted to purchase numerous American Express gift cards. Store employees confiscated his license and
credit card, both of which are fraudulent. Store employees state that the subject pictured on the Florida
license was the person that was in the store attempting the transaction. The subject did speak with a trick
Jamaican accent, and left in an unknown direction. The subject did call the store back and make threats to
confront the manager at closing time.

ALBANY – Larceny
Albany PD is attempting to identify the subject who stole a Toro brand snow blower from 411 State St.
(Rockefeller Institute). Surveillance cameras captured the possible suspect vehicle, a green Dodge Caravan
with newer style gold license plates. The vehicle may also have a white EZ Pass on the windshield. The
vehicle may also be missing a rear passenger-side hubcap.

CARTHAGE – Larceny of a Wallet
On 9/23/11 at the Carthage Area Hospital, an unknown person stole a wallet belonging to a hospital
employee. The wallet had been stored in the employee’s purse which was in a filing cabinet in her office.
Later in the day the victim’s credit cards were used at various stores in the Watertown, New York area.
Surveillance footage shows two black females and a black male using the stolen credit cards. The suspects
fueled and occupied what is believed to be a 2007 - 2009 red Nissan Altima 4-door sedan with a sun roof
and fresh front driver’s side damage.

HERKIMER – Burglary / Larceny of Handguns
Herkimer PD is investigating a residential burglary where twelve handguns were stolen. The burglary
occurred between 10/08/11 and 10/12/11 at 111 N. Bellinger Street in the village of Herkimer. Entry was
made by suspect(s) breaking a basement window. Suspect(s) then used the homeowner's tools to drill out
a locked safe. Six handguns were recovered by the Utica Police Metro Narcotics Division on 10/12/11.
Three people were taken into custody and charged with weapons possession. The following six handguns
were not recovered:
• Ruger .357 revolver, serial #60003351
• Ruger .357 revolver, serial#15011978
• Dan Wesson .445 Super revolver, serial #445S001753
• Smith & Wesson .22 semiautomatic, serial #A612346

HARTWICK – Commercial Burglary
NYSP Richfield Springs is investigating a commercial burglary of the Church and
Scott Pharmacy located at 5396 State Route 28 in the town of Hartwick. On
10/21/11 at 4:44am the State Police responded to an intrusion alarm activation.
Upon arrival patrols observed that the window located in the front of the building
had been broken and entry made.
The items taken were thousands of
Hydrocodone pills. Video surveillance from a hardware store located in the rear of
the pharmacy captured the attached photo of a vehicle which was parked behind
the Church and Scott Pharmacy during the time of the burglary.

CAYUGA and ONONDAGA Counties – Larceny
NYSP Thruway - Syracuse is currently investigating two burglary / larceny
cases from gift shops located in service plazas on the NYS Thruway. Both
incidents involved the distraction of the store clerk by one or two suspects
while another suspect entered the office area and stole cash and/or credit
cards. The first incident occurred on July 20, 2011, at the Port Byron
service plaza, in the town of Montezuma, Cayuga County, NY. A $400.00
cash deposit was stolen in that incident. The second incident occurred on
September 19, 2011, at the Dewitt service plaza, in the town of Dewitt,
Onondaga County, NY. A purse containing cash and credit cards was
stolen in that incident. The credit cards were subsequently used at stores
in the village of Canastota and the city of Oneida area. The suspects were
observed operating a late model white Chevrolet Impala with a sunroof.

MTA PD is investigating a robbery that occurred on 10/18/11 at approximately 12:00 am at the White Plains
Metro-North Station. The pictured subject committed a robbery in the main waiting room. The victim
sustained injuries consisting of a broken nose and facial fractures. The photographs are of the suspect who is
wanted for questioning at this time. Suspect is described as a black male, 18-25, 5’9”- 6'.

NYSP Rhinebeck is investigating the larceny of a Huskee vertical 22 ton log splitter color
black and red. It was taken from a yard at 276 Becker Hill Road in the town of Milan
sometime between 10/13/11 and 10/15/11.

POUGHKEEPSIE - Robbery
Poughkeepsie PD is investigating a robbery that occurred on 10/21/11 at approximately 6:15 pm. Officers
responded to the area of 165 Cannon St. for a report of an assault and robbery. Officers interviewed two
teenage Hispanic female victims who reported that three black female suspects physically attacked them and
assaulted them. One suspect took one of the victim’s Blackberry cell phone. The victims stated that two
black males who were with the three female suspects were recording the attack on their cell phones.
Suspects are described as a three black females, one had a “pea coat” and one had a “leopard print” coat.

POUGHKEEPSIE – Officer Safety
Poughkeepsie PD advises that on 10/19/11 their Detective Bureau received unconfirmed intelligence that
Antoine M. Gary (03/31/75) is in possession of an illegal semi-automatic handgun. Gary reportedly carries
the illegal handgun while dealing illegal narcotics in the area of Soldiers Fountain. There are currently no
charges against Gary at this time and this information is for Officer Safety use only.

POUGHKEEPSIE – Officer Safety
Poughkeepsie PD is investigating a suspicious activity that occurred on
10/23/11 at 6:43 pm at the Pickwick Pub located at 698 Main St. A bottle
containing noxious smelling chemicals was thrown through the front door.
Responding Officers were assisted by City Fire and City Hazmat and they
determined that the exploded bottle appeared to be a type of acid bomb. No
one was injured in this incident.

HUDSON VALLEY, NYC & LONG ISLAND – Counterfeit Currency
On 10/08/11, NYSP Tarrytown arrested four subjects for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 1st.
Subjects attempted to negotiate counterfeit currency in the denomination of $100 bills at the Ardsley Service
Area on the New York State Thruway (I-87). The bills were identified by Service Area staff who subsequently
advised the State Police. Subjects were located traveling north on I-87 and taken into custody. They were
subsequently found to be in possession of 26 counterfeit $100 bills USC as well as various retail store receipts
(assorted Home Depot, Walmart and CVS stores) from the New York City and Nassau County areas. The
subjects have been identified as four members of the same family residing at: 94-18 218th Street, Queens
Village, New York 11428:

HUDSON – Eco-Terrorism
NYS Park Police has been investigating Eco-Terrorism incidents at the New York State Historic Site Olana for
at least four years. It is believed that the extremist environmental movement, The Earth Liberation Front
(ELF), has perpetrated all these incidents. There have been approximately eight documented incidents that
have occurred over this span of time causing an estimated $10,000 in damage. Although the suspects have
not yet been identified, their activity is expected to continue. Read More »
HUDSON VALLEY REGION – ATM Skimming UPDATE
In regards to the ongoing investigation regarding ATM skimming (reference the WIRE dated 10/19/11), the
following developments have transpired. Early Wednesday morning (10/19) Peekskill Police located a
skimming device on an ATM at a Chase Bank located at 1025 Brown Street, in Peekskill. The United States
Secret Service was notified and a brief surveillance was set up. It was deemed that the device was affixed to
the ATM at approximately 0700 on Sunday (10/16). The device was removed by the Secret Service at
approximately 0900 Wednesday when the bank opened. This device was slightly different from the devices
used on the recent HSBC ATM’s, and it is unknown at this time if this device was abandoned, or if it was
intentionally left on the ATM for more than twenty four hours. Please refer to the photos below in order to
familiarize yourselves with this type of skimming device, and forward this information to officers who will be

DEER PARK & WYANDANCH – Larceny
Suffolk County PD Second Squad Detectives are attempting to identify and locate the
person who used stolen credit cards at locations in Deer Park and Wyandanch. On
September 6, 2011, an unknown person took a wallet from a vehicle in Dix Hills. An
unknown male (pictured), subsequently used credit cards from that stolen wallet at a CVS
on Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, as well as a BP Gas Station on Straight Path in
Wyandanch. He is known to frequent the Straight Path, Wyandanch area.

HUNTINGTON & FARMINGDALE – Stolen Credit Cards
Suffolk County PD is trying to identify and locate the pictured subject who
stole credit cards from a pocketbook under a desk at Mt. Sinai Medical Center
in Huntington on 09/06/11 and used the credit cards at the Apple Store in the
Walt Whitman Mall in Huntington and the Target store in Farmingdale on
09/07/11.

ROCHESTER – Officer Safety – Demetrius Bordeaux
Demetrius Bordeaux (03/17/92) has allegedly been involved in four firearms-related events in
the past three months, and also has possible involvement in a recent vehicle arson. Three of
those events are assault shootings in which Bordeaux is either alleged to be the shooter or
