Website is lemontclassiccarclub.org Club Jackets For Sale We still have a few of our original light gray club jackets in size Large for sale. These are the lighter gray and black jackets with the blue lettering. The price is $30.00 which is a sale price. We also still have some of the newer style club jackets which are darker gray and black in color in size S, M, L, XL and XXL at the same price of $30.00. LCCC Sweatshirts for Sale The Lemont Classic Car Club also had royal blue sweatshirt jackets with a hood and a full zipper up the front for sale. We are currently out of these jackets but we will can order more if our members want them. If you wish to place an order for a sweatshirt in your size call and when we get enough people to sign up we will reorder. The price is $22.00. Thru October 4 to 7 PM, Weather permitting. Marion Village Car Show from 10 AM to 2 PM. 159th Street 3 blocks West of Parker Rd. Free registration, lunch will be provided by Marion Village for all entrants. They would like 40 to 50 cars if possible all years welcome. Call Sharen to register @ 708-301-8899. Buck A Car Charity Night for Big Run Wolf Ranch at Homer Glen Cruise Night, come out and see John’s Animals and learn about North American Wildlife. All cars are asked to donate $1.00 per car with the proceeds going to The Big Run Wolf Ranch. The Point at Kilpatrick Car Show, 14230 South Kilpatrick, Crestwood, Il, from 10 AM to 2 PM. Free registration and lunch & beverages will be provided by the Point of Kilpatrick. They would like approximately 20 vehicles from 1985 and older. Call Sharen to register @ 708-301-8899. The Homer Glen Independence Parade and Fest. We must be at 151st Street between Bell and Parker Rds by 10:30 AM. We are usually in the beginning of the parade and we are through by 11:30AM. If you wish to participate call Sharen @ 708-301-8899 to register your car. Last year we had 13 vehicles it would be great if we had more this year since it is the 10th Anniversary of our club and the 10th Anniversary of Homer Glen. Franciscan Village Sunday Afternoon Band Concerts. We will again be attending these band concerts with our vehicles so the residents can view them. We need to be there at 1:15 PM and the concerts start at 1:30 PM. We are only there for about 1 ½ hours and the residents really enjoy viewing the cars. Buck A Car Charity Night for the Cold Blooded Creatures. All cars are asked to donate $1.00 for the nights entertainment with all proceeds going to Jim Nesci’s Cold Blooded Creatures. Come out and enjoy the show The Cascade Drive-IN cruise to the outdoor theater. We will meet at the Lemon Tree Restaurant and leave from there at 6:30 PM. Rain date will be July 29th. Call Sharen and register 708-301-8899. Willow Falls Retirement Community Car Show. 9:30 AM to 2 PM at 1681 Willow Falls Circle Drive, Crest Hill, Il. Willow Falls will be serving us Lunch, popcorn, ice cream and beverages. They would like approximately 30 cars. Call Sharen @708-301-8899 to register. Anyone wishing to attend the Camp Quality car cruise( to drive the children of Camp Quality Cancer Camp to the Frankfort Trolley Barn) we must be at the Trolley Barn by 6 PM and we depart to the camp by 6:30. This is at the Lemont Park District grounds where we have our club picnic. 30 car maximum. Buck A Car Charity Night for Shady Oaks Camp for People with Disabilities. Tonight’s proceeds will go to help Shady Oaks Camp. Lemont Classic Car Club Picnic Free to all current members and their immediate family. Chesdan’s Pizzeria and Grille will be catering this event. We will have the same pavilion as last year on the Lemont Park District grounds from 1 to 5 PM. You must register your family for this event so we have an accurate count for the caterer. The Expo offers free health screenings, entertainment and a Taste of Homer with restaurants from the area. We are limited to 60 cars so you must register for this event. Call Sharen @ 708-301-8899. Lemont Classic car Club’s Charity Car Show for the” Little Cruisers’ Christmas Party. This year the Registration fee is $20.00 and NO Toys Please. The show is from 2 to 6 PM. T-Shirts and Awards for the first 200 to register. There will be discount food, music, door prizes and a 50/50 . If you wish to bring a toy in addition to the $20.00 you can and it would be greatly appreciated. Lemont Classic Car Club Fall Road Trip. We are still working on the details. The plaque would attach to you back license plate or bumper and would be approximately 5" X 9" in size. They are made of Cast Aluminum and could be painted for $5.00 more but we don't recommend it. These plaques would have to be pre ordered and paid for in advance. The price is$16.00 . The Lemont Classic Car Club will pay for the $100.00 set up fee and the shipping charges so the plaques will be sold at cost with no additional charges. Special Events For June And July The 2011 Car Cruise season is upon us and our events calendar is filling up fast. We have been invited back to Marion Village Retirement Center to host a free car show for the residents on Saturday June 11th from 10 AM until 2 PM.. They will be serving us lunch, beverages and popcorn and the residents will be voting on their favorite vehicle. Merion Village is on 159th Street two blocks west of Parker Road in Homer Glen. Please sign up with Sharen and bring your vehicles out for this event they would like about 40 cars if possible. The residents really enjoy viewing the cars! On Saturday, June 11th at our Saturday Night Cruise we will be hosting our first Buck A Car Charity Night. All the proceeds plus our half of the 50/50 will go to our evening entertainment, The Big Run Wolf Ranch! John will be coming out with some of his very special animals. For those of you that have seen John at our some of our other events you know what a fun night that will be. So come out and bring your kids, grandkids or just yourself and enjoy the show and it only costs $1.00 per car! On Saturday, June 18th we have been invited back to The Pointe at Kilpatrick to host a free car show from 10 AM until 2 PM for their residents. They will be providing us with lunch and beverages and the residents will vote for their favorite vehicle. The Pointe would like about 25 cars so please register with Sharen and come out for this event. The Pointe is located at 14230 So. Kilpatrick in Crestwood. On Saturday, June 25th, we are invited to participate in the Homer Glen Parade. This year they will be celebrating their 10th anniversary as a village. We must be at 151st and Bell / Parker Roads to line up by continued on next page Page 6 10:30 AM and we are usually finished by 11:30 AM. Last year we had 13 cars let’s see if we can do better this year! On Friday, July 22nd with a rain date of July 29th we will be going to the Cascade Drive-In Theater. We will be meeting at the Lemon Tree Drive in Restaurant at 6:15 PM to cruise to the theater. We have always had a fun time in the past. Sometimes the movie has been good sometimes not so good but we have always had a good time. So bring your lawn chairs, your goodies and your bug spray and Join the fun! On Sunday, July 17th and 31st we will be going to the Franciscan Village band concerts with our cars for the residents to enjoy. We park our cars on the street by the gazebo and we sit under a shady tree and listen to the music. It is only for about 1 ½ hours and the music is usually pretty good. We need to be at the Franciscan Village by 1:15 PM and the concert starts at 1:30. Bring your lawn chairs and a pop and enjoy the show! On Saturday, July 30th we have been invited back to the Willow Falls Retirement Center to host a free car show from 9:30 to 2 PM. They will be providing us with lunch, popcorn, beverages, popcorn and ice cream. They will also be having entertainment for the afternoon. They would like about 25 cars at this show. Please sing up to attend this event. Willow Falls is located at 1618 Willow Falls Circle Drive in Cresthill. On August 6th, we have been invited back to the Lemont Police Department’s “Kops and Kids” event at the Lemont Park District on 127th Street about ½ mile west of Lemont Road. This will be our third year working with the Lemont Police Department and this children’s event. They will be providing us with lunch and beverages, popcorn, and possibly ice cream too! There is usually a variety of entertainment for the day. This is a free event from 9:30 to 2 PM so please register with Sharen and come out for the morning. This is our 10th Anniversary as the Lemont Classic Car Club and we are trying to offer a variety of events for our members to attend. Please, get involved with your car club and come out to these events and help us make our presents known in our communities! Charity Raffle For Orange County Bicycle The Lemont Classic car Club is raffling off a special Orange County Chopper style bicycle and matching hat that was donated by Jim Rotto. The tickets will sell for $2.00 each or 3 tickets for $5.00 The profits from this bike will be donated to the Shady Oaks Camp For People With Disabilities right here is Homer Glen. The tickets will be available at the Saturday Night Cruise in Homer Glen. We will be bringing the bike up to some cruise nights for viewing. This is a brand new special limited edition Orange County Chopper Bicycle with matching hat that any youngster would be proud to own. It would make a great gift! We arrived at 9:45 on Saturday morning before the zoo was open for the day. We were greeted by a number of peacocks and peahens walking by the fountain just waiting for us to get settled. Along with the car show the zoo had musical entertainment by The New Invaders, a 60's band, Greg Brown from the WLS radio station, face painting and crowns for the kids, and free Dolphin Show tickets for our car club. We did encounter some light rain but then it wouldn’t be a Lemont Car Event without some rain! Sunday morning was a much better day! We did have a few drops of rain but the temperature made up for it. Arra an 80's band was the entertainment on Sunday. We displayed 17 vehicles on Saturday and 13 on Sunday. Thanks to everyone that brought their vehicles out and enjoyed the day. This was a very special event for the Lemont Classic Car Club to be invited to!
