Furnace Paver and Feeder sub-layers
These applications are a major factor in modern furnaces designs by contributing
both to:
• long furnace life (excellent corrosion resistance)
• higher glass quality (superior Glass contact properties)
In order to meet these technical requirements, Saint-Gobain SEFPRO offers a
complete range of products with the appropriate chemical composition and
application methodology (Castables and Ramming Mixes).
These solutions share common features:
• They provide a real “Monolithic” structure to seal the entire surface being
covered.
• The specific design of the materials provides excellent resistance to chemical
corrosion by glass in high temperature operating conditions.
The chemical similarity of the materials contributes to the high stability of the Glass
refractory interface which is a major factor for improving glass quality.

Hot and Cold repairs/ Sealing
Furnace sealing, in both “Hot” and “Cold” conditions, and appropriate maintenance
schedule, are very important point to:
• Increase Furnace Campaign length
• Reduce Energy consumption
• and REDUCE emissions to meet more stringent environmental regulations.
