On Monday morning, November 24th, 2014, Fr. Shnork Demirjian
addressed to the AGBU Manougian-Demirgian School elementary
students. On the occasion of Thanksgiving, the students were
gathered at the auditorium. Present were the principal, Mr. Hagop
Hagopian, teachers and students. Fr. Shnork spoke about the
importance of thanksgiving and linked the talk with the Centennial of
the Armenian Genocide and the Armenia Fund Telethon.
At the end the students were gathered in the courtyard where three
doves were released into the air as a gesture of peace by Fr. Shnork,
Mr. Hagopian and Miss Arous Antreassian.

Christm as Luncheon
On Sunday following Badarak almost three hundred St. Peter Church
volunteers were invited by the Parish Priest and Parish Council for a
luncheon to honor all the church organizations and volunteers who
have served the church throughout the year in various capacities and
talents.

Following the luncheon, Fr. Shnork Demirjian was invited to the stage
and one-by-one acknowledged the volunteers who were chosen by
various organizations as "The Volunteer of the Year."

FR. SHNORK AT AM 870 HARRY BEY SHOW

On Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 7:00 pm Fr. Shnork Demirjian,
Parish Priest of St. Peter Armenian Church gave the invocation at
AM870 Harry Bey Radio Show, representing the Armenian Church
Diocese. The program for several weeks had partly dedicated its time
and efforts to the Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide. Several
prominent Armenian leaders were interviewed by Harry Bey. The
guests spoke about the first Genocide of the twentieth century
committed against the Armenians by the Ottoman Turks. To listen to

AN EVENING WITH L.A.P.D. DEPUTY CHIEF
JORGE VILLEGAS
On Thursday November, 20th
2014, at 7:00 pm TMG: The
Martayan Group organized a
historic gathering of the
Armenian American community
within the San Fernando Valley
with L.A.P.D. Deputy Chief
Jorge Villegas and all the
captains in his district. The
event was held at the hall of
the Organization of Istanbul
Armenians. Fr. Shnork, a
member of the advisory
committee, was leading the
members of St. Peter Parish
Council and Ladies Society.
Fr. Shnork gave the invocation
and following the dinner the
guests present had the opportunity of meeting with the officers and had a
memorable photo with the Deputy Chief Jorge Villegas.
