Dimensions: Bedroom, bathroom and living room,(under palapa) 250 ft.2 Bathroom/shower 100 ft 2. Connecting deck space/dining
area 300 ft.2, Deck catches rainwater in the summertime, not covered by palapa.
Bedroom: Enclosed room (full walls) with queen sized bed and cascading bug net for comfortable sleeping. 2 closets for storage.
Bedside reading lights. Couch-bed in living room.
Bathroom: Private, semi-open air, hot water shower with rock walls and intricately designed rock floor. Flush toilet.
Kitchen: Full kitchen includes propane stove and oven, large sized fridge, full set of pots/pans, blender, toaster oven, coffee maker,
and other kitchen essentials.
Lighting: Minimal electrical lighting in kitchen, bathroom and bedroom (CFL light bulbs). Electric outlets dispersed throughout.

Sleeping Capacity: 1-2 people in a queen sized bed
Dimensions: 150 ft 2, all underneath the palapa
Bedroom: queen sized bed, with full cascading mosquito net, ¾
walls around bed
Bathroom: private, open air bathroom , hot water shower with
rock walls and intricately designed rock floor. Flush toilet.
Kitchen: no kitchen.
Lighting: bedside reading lights, overhead light, 1 light in the
bathroom, trail lights for access
Location: 40 ft down a path below the main palapa, 60 ft. from
main entrance. Easily accessible. A few moderate stairs to
access.
View: jungle view
Special note: The Palapa Gecko shares a kitchen with Palapa Tigre, these
units must be rented together.

Capacity: up to 5 people in beds (2 bedrooms, 1 upstairs, 1 downstairs)
Dimensions: Top floor, 400 ft 2 under palapa, outside deck . 125 ft2.
Bottom floor 250 ft 2 , outside deck 125 ft2 . Rooftop deck 60 ft.2
Bedroom: Downstairs bedroom has 1 queen bed and 1 twin bed (great for
kids), it can be completely enclosed (100% bug free). Main floor living
room converts to bedroom with either two individual beds or 1 king
sized bed. Beds have in bug nets for carefree sleeping.
Bathroom: Each floor has it’s own private bathroom and shower. Hot
water shower with naturally designed rock floors. Flush toilets in each
bathroom. Large mirrors and sinks.
Kitchen: Full kitchen, oven and stove, large fridge, coffee maker, cooking
necessities
Lighting: full lighting inside and outside, candles provided
Location: Easy access. 30 ft. past the Palapa Tigre on walkway (no steps).
Decks: Large deck/dining space, lower deck and small rooftop deck

Bedrooms: 2 twin beds or king bed downstairs. Room can be enclosed
with glass/wooden doors and curtains. Loft space upstairs accessed
by ladder, 2 twin beds or 1 king bed, open air with a bug nets.
Bathroom: Private bathroom (shower and toilet) beneath main floor,
hot water shower, composting toilet (clean and comfortable), sink
and changing area. Concrete floors with rock designs.
Kitchenette: small fridge, 4 burner stove (propane), basic cooking set
(pots, pans, plates, glass, cutlery etc.), coffee maker, sink for
dishwashing, plenty of counter space and enclosed storage beneath
counters, small dining table
Lighting: path lights, several outside deck lights, outlets throughout the
building, kitchen light, reading lights in the loft, bathroom light
Location: at the base of a long series of steep steps (some degree of
fitness recon fitness recommended), 100 ft. below the main palapa
Nestled in the trees, the Casita Tejone offers a true jungle
experience. If you’re looking for a hidden natural place to rest,
unwind, and embrace the jungle, you’ll love this casita. The
Casita Tejone great for couples and or families. Kids love the

Our bungalows are fully furnished safari style
tents on wooden platforms. These bungalows have
a unique, tree house feel to them. Bungalows are
perfect for adventurers who are looking for a fun
jungle experience.

Bungalows include a Mexican style dinning table
and chairs, hammock, a small kitchenette,
bedroom area, private shower made with intricate
rock designs and private composting toilet (clean
and comfortable!). Bungalows have also rope
railings.

Bungalow Details
!
Sleeping Capacity: 2 bungalows, each sleep up to 2 people (both have same design)
Dimensions: wooden platform (20 x 20 ft., total of 400 ft 2), canvas safari tent on platform (12 x 14 ft.)
Bedroom: 2 wooden framed beds that can either be twin beds or 1 king sized bed. Beds are set up with cascading bug nets for
comfortable sleeping. Canvas walls of the tent can either be rolled for open air sleeping or left down for privacy.
Bathroom: Bungalows have a private composting toilets (very clean and nice!) and showers (on demand hot water) with wooden walls
and floors of intricately designed stone. Natural soaps are used and grey water is recycled to the jungle.
Kitchenettes: include a small fridge, a basic collection of cooking pots/pans, plates, mugs/cups and utensils, a 2 burner counter top stove
(propane) and a coffee maker, sink for dishwashing, dinning table
Lighting: Bungalows have candles for romantic atmosphere, but also have electric deck lights, reading lights, trail lights and standard
electric outlets.
Location: Bungalows are located approx. 125 ft. below the main palapa and are accessed by a steep set of stairs.

New Yoga Palapa
Yoga in the jungle is bliss!

The Tailwind Jungle Lodge is very excited
about our new yoga palapa! Perched on a
stunning jungle hillside over looking the
ocean, this is truly a magical spot for yoga,
pilates, fitness, meditation, workshops
and more. The platform is approximately
25 x 30 ft and can comfortably
accommodate up to 25 people. Yoga
classes available upon request.

Precautions: Tailwind is located on a very steep hillside with many sets of stairs, trails and steep ledges. The Tailwind facility is not
wheelchair accessible (though some of the units have only a couple of steps to access them). All of Tailwind’s casitas, bungalows and palapas
have railings, however the houses are on stilts and the decks are quite high off the ground. Guests should be mindful and cautious throughout
their stay. Many children (babies as well) have visited the jungle and absolutely loved it. However, parents need to know that it is a jungle
and our buildings can be a risk for children.

Adventure Tours

Sea kayaking
Exploring the Mexican Pacific via kayak is not to be missed! This tour is perfect for paddlers looking to experience a breathtaking stretch of
undeveloped coastline and swim/play at a deserted beach. Easy launching from the protected bay of Los Ayala makes this tour ideal for
paddlers of all levels. Come and join us on the water!
STAND UP PADDLE BOARDING (SUP) It’s time to try a new sport! Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) is a fun alternative to surfing. No waves necessary, and flat water is enjoyable,
but if you want to ride a wave we’ll teach you how (our favorite!). SUP is a great full body workout and a fun way to view ocean wildlife below.
Great for all ages and fitness levels.

HIKING
Head out on an interpretative jungle/beach hike with “Jungle Judi”. Enjoy an incredible meandering ridgeline with vistas of ocean and
mountains. Passs through avocado groves, mango groves, therapeutic mud, orchid plantation, and spectacular remote beaches. Length: 5
miles. Difficulty: moderate to strenuous.

Note: All tours need to be reserved in advance. Additional fee is transportation if needed.
On the day of your tour be sure to bring water, snack, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, etc. (all the tropical essentials!)
