ACCIONA’s Hystory in EUROGIA2020
ACCIONA ENERGIA is a BOARD member of the EUROGIA Cluster since 2008, appointed as the National
Representative in the Cluster, and being the chairman of the cluster from May 2011 to March 2013.
The EUROGIA Cluster is considered as the most appropriate way to promote and develop core
technology projects (R&D) with need to crystallize in short term and with high impact in the business
areas, as we are well covered by the White Book (Low Carbon Conventional Fossil Fuels technologies and
Renewable Energy).
Participation ACCIONA ENERGIA is as follows:
 9 Projects presented to PO (WIFI, ADVOCAT (Cantabria presence), ILIS, CSPIMP, FLOATMET,
W2POWER, WINDMELT, EasyToConnect, V4WT) with 4 projects lead by ACCIONA
 5 Projects Labelled and 4 approved for FPP
 50% of Projects with other Board Members.
 Total ACCIONA budget of labelled projects 4M€
 Various Themes: Wind On/Offshore, PV, Materials and Composites, …

Why EUROGIA2020 and Reasons :
• Easy preparation of documentation and access for questions and help to the Secretariat.
• Easy and understandable process for evaluation that gives the choice to explain FtF
• Industry Driven and so we feel comfortable.
• Short Time from IDEA (PO) to Start of Funded Project (Label FPP and funding).
• Easy Contract, Consortium Agreement, and IPR Discussions (Short number of partners).
• Easy to Manage, due to low number of partners.
• You work only with the one you want with and not with a group due to balancing and photo.
• Follow up and access to partnerships and knowledge.
Strong support from CDTI and other authorities (EC,..) to EUROGIA 2020

Submission process
Always a 2 stage process:
1. PO – Project Outline
Complete and submit a Project Outline. The project
coordinator is invited to present it through an oral
presentation in front of the Technical Committee.
2. FPP – Full Project Proposal
Applicants will be invited to fill in and submit a Full
Project Proposal. Following the evaluation, the Technical
Committee will give its recommendations to the
eurogia+ Board, who in turn will decide to label the
project. With this label, project participants can apply
for funding in their respective countries.

Products as Results of the Project
PV plant controller: Power Dispatcher
SCADA to control power output of PV inverters to
fulfil different Grid specifications by performing
grid support services.
Allows also the efficient hybridization with other
technologies like diesel generators
PV + Storage plant controller: SunDispatcher
SCADA to control power output of PV plant in
combination with an electric energy storage
system (ESS) in order to create a dispatchable
solar plant .
