7 CHAPTER activity - financial personality quiz Instructions for Teachers 1 Print one copy of the Financial Personality Quiz (see Template: Financial Personality Quiz) per student. The document has two pages - the quiz on page 1 and the assessment of their answers on page 2. 2 Tell students they’re going to complete a quiz that will help them to find out how they think about and act with money. They need to listen carefully to each question and the multi-choice answers. Tell them not to complete the answers before you finish reading each one. Financial Personality Quiz - template Circle or highlight the answer (a, b or c) that 1 best indicates your thinking. Income wise, I think people should: a rely on Government to give them money b earn some and be given some c work for all their money. 2. PREP Teaching Guide Chapter 7 Activity: Financial Personality Quiz 1 7 CHAPTER 3 Hand out the Financial Personality Quiz to each student with page 1 facing up. 4 Read each question followed by the three multi-choice answers. Adjust the vocabulary to suit your students’ ability levels. 5 For each of the 10 questions, students should circle a, b, or c according to the answer that best fits how they think or is most like them. 6 Ask students to turn the page and copy their answers into the table to see how many points they have scored. Recording names is optional. Assessing Your Financial Behaviour 1 Name: up the numbers 2 Circle your answer from the choices you made in the questionnaire. For example: “I am good with my money. I have a pretty responsible financial personality”. 9 Ask students to think about their personal financial goals using what they’ve learned from taking the quiz. Get them to write out their personal financial goal/s in the box provided. 10 Note: the results of this test will give students some interesting information. However, no behavioural test is perfect.
