My Model A stranded me and we had to push to complete. But that’s life with a 70 year old car. I thought the fireworks were superb. My family and guests had a great ime and I hope all of you also had a great time. When you are out on the Lake, do think SAFETY. We have the Lake Tanglewood Rules and Regulations for water craft. Please review them and please discuss with your family. They were not crafted for some sort of control, but to keep someone from getting seriously injured. In particular, remember that the No Wake areas mean slow speeds. These areas have trees just below the water that can cause injury. Playing splash tag on a jet ski with someone in the water is highly dangerous. Let’s have a SAFE and FUN summer. Tailgate Party – August 10th….. The Lions Club sponsored the stocking of the Lake with FISH. 13,000 fish of largemouth bass and catfish were added. The plan is to add more in the fall or spring of next year. Donations for this effort are still welcomed. Please contact Charlie Greever – 678-2587 to give your donation. We thank Charlie, the Lions Club and all of those that contributed money and time to the effort!!!! Deadline for Newsletter is August 20th Be sure to have it to us by NOON on this day! First of all, this is not a misprint….two of our newest members both are named Meredith!! What a refreshing July!! The cooler weather and rain was a blessing to all. Meredith & Derek Jones 100 Gina Lane Derek is self-employed with J & J Electric and represents utility manufacturers ranging from steel poles, cable to transformers, and substations. Meredith is a pharmacist and works at J.O. Wyatt Clinic in Amarillo. They are the proud parents of Mason (19) and Courtlynn (10). Mason recently graduated from Randall High School where he was active in football and music. He plans to attend Amarillo College in the fall, focusing on a career in music education. He excels in vocal performance. Courtlynn will be in the 5th grade at Greenways this fall. She is a gymnast and attends All American Gymnastics. She recently attended the National Trampoline and Tumbling Championships in Kansas City and doublemedaled. She earned a gold medal on trampoline and a bronze on double mini. They are active members of Westover Fellowship Church and are major lovers of dogs. Derek had the opportunity of spending much of his childhood around the lake with his grandmother, Mary Powers. Derek and Meredith have always been big “lake lovers” and have travelled many miles to enjoy their summers. Last year they started looking for a lake house in Oklahoma until they learned what Lake Tanglewood had to offer for their family. A quote from Meredith: “We are so excited to meet all our new neighbors and make our home at Tanglewood. Everyone has been so welcoming, and we are so thankful to be a part of this great lake!” Meredith & Ryan Stover 512 Melody Lane Ryan & Meredith have been married almost three years. Ryan is the Manager at the new Discount Tire on I-40 & Ross. He has been with the company for 10 years. Meredith is a Bank Officer at Happy State Bank. She has been with the bank for 5 ½ years and was recently promoted to a commercial lender position. They both have such a love for the lake and outdoors that they bought a lot at the lake last year but soon discovered they were ready to live at the lake full time. They don’t have children yet but look forward to starting a family in their new home. They do have two very spoiled dogs that love the new house. Meredith & Ryan have already started remodeling and can’t wait to see their “vision come to life” in their new home.
