January 13, 2014. What an exciting day for
our company when our name made headlines
in Times Square, New York. It was our 16th
anniversary of becoming a public company
and a very proud moment for all of us.
In 1998, when the initial public offering
was held, Timberland Bank operated eight
branches with assets of $221,55 million.
Today, we remain strong, independent and
still headquartered where we were founded
in Hoquiam, WA in 1915. We have grown
to 22 branch locations serving six counties
of Western Washington. As of December
31, 2013 Timberland Bank remains wellcapitalized with assets of $729 million.
We are very proud of our 16 year milestone
as a public company and even more proud
of our heritage as a well-respected local
financial institution. Through good times and
through challenging economic times, since
we were founded until today; our mission

Cooking for a Cure is a spiral-bound
collection of recipe favorites assembled by
Timberland Staff. We gathered our favorite
recipes into this book as a fundraiser for the
American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
When you think of going to a potluck where
everyone brings their favorite dish, that’s
the collection of recipes you’ll find in this
lovely book. We’ve even added a few recipes
that are gluten free.
We have all been touched when cancer
strikes the life of our families, neighbors
and co-workers. Relay for Life provides a
wonderful opportunity to help survivors
celebrate more birthdays and honor the
memory of loved ones. We hold on to the
dream that one day there will be a cure.
Timberland employees in several counties
have organized teams to participate in
annual Relay for Life events and they are
working hard to raise money that will fund
cancer research. For us, the Cooking for a
Cure recipe book was a labor of love pulling
together the best recipes we could find for a
cause we care about deeply.
