LITTERS Notice: Publication of these Notices is on the basis that a Litter Notification has been received by the New Zealand Kennel Club at the closing date of this column, usually the 1st of the month preceding publication. Publication in this magazine is no guarantee that the dog can or will be registered with the New Zealand Kennel club. Registration is a separate procedure and will not necessarily be completed at the date of sale of a puppy. Purchasers of dogs should obtain a written undertaking from breeders that the puppy being purchased is or will be registered with the New Zealand Kennel club and will be transferred by the breeder into the name of the purchaser within fourteen days of the date of purchase. If a show date for a Club does not appear or is incorrect the Secretary of the Club should contact the New Zealand Kennel Club urgently. Associated Show Clubs must make specific application for a licence for every Championship show date on the form available from New Zealand Kennel Club offices or website. These can be applied for up to two years in advance. The appointed judge is now Mr Brian Harris. I have bred Irish Setters, German Shorthaired Pointers and more recently Shetland Sheepdogs which I breed under the Rumor prefix. I have judged in Canada, USA and south Korea. I have judged Specialties in Shelties, Collies, Pointing Breeds, German Shepherds, Aust Shepherds, Aust Cattle Dogs, Weimaraner, Brittany Spaniels, Bulldogs and Vizslas. Janet Jacobsen I am often referred to as an “Oriental Breed Specialist” having had extensive involvement with Chow Chows, Pekinese and Japanese Chins. I have shown Chow Chow’s since 1975 and bred under the Tai Yang prefix. Owner handled ten all breed BIS Pekingese and made up over 100 champions. Have judged in England, Australia, Canada, China and Taiwan. Active in local breed and all breed clubs and in judges education. Alan Bennett Has had Alaskan Malamutes since 1977. Co-owned Am/Can Ch Storm Klouds Canadian Club who we purchased from Nancy Russell. Under Howlingwind prefix we’ve bred 15 Canadian and 4 American Champions. We also owned Am/Can Ch Wincre’s Five Card Stud number 9 Mal in the US in 1990 in only six weeks of showing. In 1986 we acquired our first Cairn Terrier. We then bought Am Can Ch Skerryvore Dances With Wolves who became a BIS winner, Canadian and American National Winner. I have judged in many countries. Lois Wilson I grew up with Airedales and Cocker Spaniels, moving onto English Setters. I have been breeding Siberian Huskies for 18 years under Sibra. I also breed and show Shiba Inu. I started judging in 1976 have judged in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Australia and USA. I’m chairman of the Northern Natal KC. I do obedience and carting and have the first Shiba to be a Dual Champion, Breed and Carting. If for any reason you are unable to get your schedule in on time, please contact the NZKC so that we are aware of the delay. Late schedules hold up the production of the New Zealand Kennel Gazette. The schedules cannot be completed until all schedules are in. If your show is late in the month and you wish to publish the schedule in a later gazette, please notify us, so we are not waiting for a schedule that will not be coming. Please try to get your schedules in on time. If you are having problems with judges, venues etc., just give the NZKC a ring so we are aware of what is happening. Schedules should be submitted online with your club’s log-in details. If you don’t know these contact the NZKC. Schedules can also be sent as a complete image (such a s a.jpg, .tif or pagemaker).
