TV France International’s remit is
to promote the international sales of
French TV programs and to facilitate
international coproduction.
TV France International is a trade
association which was created in
1994.Its membership includes
around 140 exporting companies: producers, distributors
and the sales division of broadcasters.
It is supported by the Centre National du Cinéma et de l’image
animée (CNC), the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs and International Development and Procirep.
Our services:
Connecting French exporters
with international buyers
through:
- Le Rendez-Vous : the market for
French TV production, with over
1,200 recent programs available for screening to invited
international buyers
- French pavilions at most TV program markets (miptv/mipcom,
NATPE in Miami, ATF in Singapore, Kidscreen Summit, Rio
Content Market, Discop Africa,
World Congress of Science and
Factual Producers, etc.)
- Showcase events in key territories (Rendez-vous in Tokyo,
Moscow etc.)
A showcase for French
production: Screenopsis
Screenopsis was launched in
March 2016. It offers an exhaustive listing of French TV production with over 22,000 programs,
and a B2B online screening facility for registered buyers, with
over 9,000 full-length programs.
Screenopsis allows users to personalize the interface, the editorial content and the search results according to the programs
they are interested in. The platform provides efficient and collaborative tools to take notes on
programs and videos, to create
and share playlists and to
connect with French distributors.
It offers a classic multifaceted
search engine as well as an intuitive search engine and semantic indexation of programs, which
allows for constant enrichment of
the information on the site, recommendations and relevant results to program queries.
Tools for member companies:
www.tvfrance-intl.com
- An international database of
over 15,000 decision makers in
more than 200 countries
- information on the international
market: market reports, studies
and surveys, model contracts,
ratings survey of French programs aired in key territories,
export figures etc.
Highlighting French
successes:
Every year, TV France International gives Export and Format
Awards (the latter in partnership
with La Fabrique des Formats),
which highlight the economic
and cultural impact of television
program exports.
The awards recognize the
top-selling French programs
and the achievement of French
distributors in charge of finding
the best outlets for French production and give it the largest
exposure.
The 2015 winners were:
Export Awards: Animation, ALVINNN!!! And the Chipmunks
distributed by PGS Entertainment - Documentary, Picasso,
the Legacy distributed by Terranoa – Fiction, Witnesses distributed by Newen Distribution.
Format Export Award: Slam
created and produced by Effervescence, distributed by Can’t
Stop Media
Format Special Award: Call my
Agent distributed by TF1 International and 24H coproduced
by Alegria Productions.
