FRACKVILLE BOROUGH BUILDING PERMIT INFORMATION PACKET FRACKVILLE BOROUGH SCHUYLKILL COUNTY 42 South Center Street Frackville, PA 17931 570-874-3860 REQUIREMENTS FOR OBTAINING A BUILDING PERMIT The information that follows details the items that must be submitted in order to obtain a buildingpermit. Failure to submitthe required items will result in a denial of a permit. The required applicationsare attached. NOTE:Before submitting a building permit application, obtain all necessary zoning and land development permits and approvals. PLEASE NOTE; Permit applications are reviewed as quickly as possible. Pennsylvania law allows a review period: 15 business days for Residential / 30 business days for Commercial. • Fully complete the permit application. Then return the permit application along with two (2) sets of construction drawings to the Frackville Borough. • If there are questions, the applicant/contractor may be contacted by the Code Enforcement Officer or the Building Inspector. So please make sure to provide: • Applicant Contact Information (Day/Evening Phone) • Contractor Contact Information. • Upon approval of the permit application and construction drawings, the applicant will be notified that the permit is available for pick-up and the amount of the required permit fee to be paid at pick-up. • Upon issuance of the permit, a required inspection check list will be provided. Second Street, Pottsville, PA 17901 570-628-1415 INFORMATION TO BE INCLUDED WITH PERMIT APPLICATION > Fully Completed Building Permit Application > Proof of Contractor Workers' Compensation Insurance > Two (2) sets of Construction Drawings to include the following: o Site/Plot Plan (to include): • All lot lines and dimensions from new structure to front, side & rear property lines. " Existing structures and distances between existing and new structures • Street (public and private) locations " Well / septic system (tank / drain field) location • Easement or right-of-way locations o Footer or Pier Specifications o Foundation Specifications (if applicable) o Framing Plans (to include): • Stair location • Locations and sizes of support posts or columns • Beam and/or headers sizes and locations • Joist and/or rafter sizes and locations/spacing • Ledger board fastening specification o Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing Plans (if applicable) PLEASE NOTE: If required, a Soil and Erosion Plan must be sent to the County for approval. An Approval Letter must be received by Frackville Borough before the permit application will be approved. INSPECTION INFORMATION The issuance of the building permit for which you have applied requires you to comply with all provisions of all applicable codes for both the building construction and the building construction inspections. Inspections must be scheduled a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours in advance unless otherwise specified.
