Programme Spectators 9amArrive Spectators are welcome. Please use the designated spectator areas, as follows: 9.30am to 10am Opening ceremony Athletics Basketball Cricket Handball Hockey Netball Swimming Teams will be lead to the playing field, all in their bright coloured team kit and carrying their team flag. There will be an introduction of the teams and the islands they are representing. There are over 400 children, from years three to six, from 36 schools taking part. 10.15am Competition begins (except swimming) 11.30am Swimming begins The council is honoured that the London 2012 Organising Committee (LOCOG) has chosen the Island to be part of the Olympic Torch route, which is a once in a lifetime occasion. Look out for the torch, which is scheduled to arrive at Medina College at 3.17pm this afternoon. 2pm to 2.30pm Individual sports presentations We hope you enjoy the day. 2.30pm to 2.45pm Overall competition winner announced 3.17pm Olympic torch relay 3.45pm to 4pm Collection of children Each sport will programme a lunch break into its schedule, information will be provided. An area on the grass next to the track. Seating on each side of the main sports hall next to each court. An area on the grass bank next to the cricket pitches. Seating to the side of the court in the main sports hall. An area to the side of each pitch by the hard courts. Seating is to the side of the netball courts. View from the café and on the balcony area of the pool. Please note: no parents or spectators are allowed poolside. Refreshments Medina Leisure Centre café has a selection of hot and cold food, drinks, and snacks. Also an on-site mobile refreshment unit will also be available for hot food and drinks. First aid The event information tent situated to the side of the athletics field will be the base for first aid (provided by the Red Cross), welfare and lost children. Photography If you wish to take photographs please ensure you register in the event information tent prior to the start of the games. We have a professional photography team, Wight Photo photographing the event.
