VENUE
1. Venue
The main venue is located in Vierzon Town Center – Parc des Expositions. The area
will have all the necessary facilities.
3. Athletes Lounge
Will take place in the main Race Venue and will be open Sunday 12th from 09:45

to 13:15 the women, and from 13:45 to 17:30 for the men. Sealed bottles of water,
fruits and energy bars will be offered at the athletes lounge. Toilets are located close
to the Athletes Lounge. There are no showers on the main Race Venue.
3.Doping Control
Could be performed on the main race venue – according to French A.D Rules.
Athletes must carry their I.C to the doping control facilities. The Doping Control Office
is located in front of the First Aid Post.
4.Medical Service:
Doctor Christophe COGNARD, First Aid and Medical Services will be available on place
during the competition days. The First Aid Post is located on the main Race Venue.
5.Bike Mechanic Service:
There will be a Bike Mechanic Service, manage by CYCLES EXPERT – available
on the main race venue:
 Saturday: 9:45 to 12:30
 Sunday: 10:00 to 15:15

TRANSPORTATION - ACCOMODATION
1. Transport
According with the request, the LOC will provide transportation from and to Roissy - Charles
De Gaulle and Orly’s Airports on Friday 10 – Sunday 12 and Monday 13. Detailed
transportation schedule will be available as soon we get the timetable of the different

Arche Hotel.
OPENING CEREMONY - PASTA-PARTY
Set up on Friday from 19:30 to 22:00 in the Salle Madeleine Sologne at the main Race Venue.
Cost: 15 euros - Access with a yellow bracelet.
TRAINING
1. Training Sessions in the Swimming Pool of Vierzon
Pre-competition swimming training will take place at the Municipality Pool (see the
map). Free access for accredited athletes and coaches.

COURSE FAMILIARIZATION
1. Bike Course Familiarization
Will take place on Saturday 11th from 10:15 to 11:00 start from the “Parc des Expositions” .
2. Swim Familiarization
Will take place on Saturday 11th from 11:15 to 12:00. During the Swim Familiarization there
will be lifeguards and medical services available.

2. Field of Play
a- The Swim Course: 780 m




The swim course will be a descent of the River l’Yévre with a light favorable current.
The distance between the T.A and the Swim Start Area is about 600m; volunteers will collect
numbered athlete’s bag with useless equipment before the start and bring them back to the
T.A during the run course.
Between the out of swim and the T.A is about 250m, using a footbridge crossing the beach.
Because of the Water Temperature at this time, It might be a wetsuit swim.
b-The Bike Course: 4 x 5,3 km
Four laps of 5.3 k each. The course is clockwise with a gentle climb at km 1
c- Wheel Station

There will be one wheel station along the course. It will take place on Km 2,5 extremely close
to the First Aid Station.

A van, post on the top of the T.A during the check in will transport the wheels to the W.S.
The wheels must be cleanly identifiable (name, flag of the nation…). Wheels will be taken
back to the T.A after the race. No Aid Station on the Bike Course.
d- Run Course: 2 x 2.5 km



The Run Course will take place in the Town Center with asphalt and pavement. Run Course is
technical and hilly.
2 Water- Aid Stations. The Penalty-Box will be located close to the Swim Exit footbridge.
3. Results
Results will be unplowed live at the ITU’s Official website: www.triathlon.org or from XXX at
the Time Company website: http://www.breizhchrono.com/
4. Competitions Rules
2013 Vierzon Junior European Cup will follow the latest published Competitions Rules
from the International Triathlon Union.
5. Accreditation


From Friday 9th at 12:00 at the E.T.U Office located Salle Madeleine Sologne on the main
Race Venue, LOC will provide Accreditation to athletes and accredited coaches. Only
accredited person will be allowed to access to the Swimming pool and to all the Competition
Areas. Accredited persons are requested to carry their Accreditation Card with them at all
the times and to show them upon request.
Yellow Wrist band will be delivered to access Opening Ceremony-Pasta Party
