However there is also a need to manage and treat garbage in a environment friendly manner. This proposal envisages. a. Establishing a nodal agency to interact and coordinate between the MCH and RWAs to promote environment friendly efforts in Solid Waste Management. b. goal. c. Identification of open areas within the colonies to set up 3RCentres (Reduce, Recycle & Recovery Centers) towards achieving zero waste Making the 3RC concept viable with support from MCH. www.sukuki.com Sukuki Exnora 3 R Centre / Subram a. 3R (Reduce, Recycle & Reuse) Centre for about 3000 households which will comprise of one locality. b. Open area of about 2000 Sq.Yards within the locality. (This could be in one piece or smaller pieces across the area). c. Tri-cycles along with Street Beautifiers will be introduced in areas where such a scheme is non-existent. About 10 street beautifiers are required for covering 3000 households. Where RWAs are active existing street beautifiers will be trained in the process of source segregation and www.sukuki.com Exnora Vermi Compost methods. Each 3R Sukuki Centre will have 3 workers along Financials The expenditure at each 3 R Center per month will be Rs.50,000/-. In areas where Street beautifiers are currently operating under the aegis of RWAs, the expenditure will be reduced by that much extent. Suggested Funding approach MCH presently incurs a transportation cost of Rs 40,000/- per month for each sanitary ward. This can be used to sustain the activity in the first year. The phased Public Private partnership in tune with other MCH initiatives is suggested Year First MCH Implementing Agency Rs.40,000/- ( 80%) Rs.10,000/- Second Year Rs.20,000/- ( 40/-) Rs.30,000/- www.sukuki.com Sukuki Exnora Fixed cost – One Time S.No. Particulars Amount 1 Vermi Compsot Sheds (2 ) size - 12’ X 50 X 2 Rs.30,000/- 2 Segregation Shed Rs.10,000/- 3 Enclosure Rs.10,000/- 4 Uniforms Rs. 5,000/- 5 Borewells Rs.15,000/- 6 Communication Rs.10,000/- TOTAL Rs.80,000/- www.sukuki.com Sukuki Exnora Variable Costs per month S.No. Particulars Amount 1 2 Workers @ Rs.2000/- per Month Rs. 6,000/- 2 1 Supervisor @ Rs.3000/- Rs. 3,000/- 3 2 X Field Supervisors Rs. 6,000/- 4 10 Street beautifiers @ Rs.2,000/- per month Rs.20,000/- 5 Implements Rs. 1,000/- 6 Tri-cycle maintenance, uniforms etc. Rs. 1,000/- 7 Inputs to vermi beds like cowdung, water etc. Rs. 5,000/- 8 Radio Communication & txn Rs. 2,000/- 7 Office Expenses & Profit Rs. 6,000/- TOTAL Rs.50,000/- www.sukuki.com Sukuki Exnora Sustainability Participation by Community, Government & NGOs Revenue streams a.
