Columbus Performing Arts Center Summer Theatre Camp Schedule Campers will create a mini-show in just one week! Each week covers a different theme. All campers 6-8 and 9-13 must bring a brown bag lunch daily. Campers 6-8 and 9-13 will participate in a final “in-formance” at noon on Friday. Look below for a camp that fits your child’s age group. Ages: 4–5 Time: 10–10:50 am June 17–21 Cost: $25 “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” and other Dr. Seuss Stories Bring Dr. Seuss books to life as we act out characters from his most popular stories. June 24–28 Jump, Jive and Boogie! Join us as we move and shake to create a story through movement and music. Create movie scenes based on your favorite mystery, adventure, or science fiction stories. The Heros of Shakespeare Light up the stage as you transform into a Shakespearean hero by exploring the sonnets and scenes of this popular playwright! July 29–Aug 2 Musical Theatre—Part I: Musical Creation Collaborate with professional artists and your peers to piece together your own musical. Continue your musical endeavors as we add dance and drama to our process during Production Creation Part II. The days will consist of specialized acting and dance classes taught by CATCO staff and local professionals. Students will also receive individual monologue and vocal coaching. By the end of the intensive program, each student will have two audition packages which will be evaluated by a panel of theatre professionals. Class is divided into two sections by age: 10–13 and 14–18. Ten Sessions. Bring a brown bag lunch each day.
