10 DAYS OF ATHLETICS COMPETITION IN RIO
Athletics events of the summer Olympic Games 2016 will take place from 12 to
21 August 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Track events will be competed at the Olympic stadium while road races
(marathon and race walking will be organized in Rio de Janeiro streets.
Forty seven finals are on the program (24 for men and 23 for women).

The Association of National Olympic Committees
of Africa (ANOCA) chaired by Lassana PALENFO
from Ivory Coast, has appointed the president of
the Confederation of African Athletics, Mr
Hamad Kalkaba Malboum from Cameroon to
lead the Ad Hoc Committee in charge of ensuring
a coordinated preparation of all African athletes
being qualified for the Olympic Games Rio 2016
called "ANOCA - Rio 2016". The objective of the
Commission is to contribute to improving the
performance of African athletes at the upcoming
Olympics compared to previous editions.
The Commission members are personalities with
expertise and proven experience in various fields
(administration, technical, training, etc.).
