The Roots & Beets Art & Music Festival will be held on August 8, 2015
from 9am to 5pm. The festival is held at the common grounds at the
Cherryville Artisans Shop at 1187 Hwy 6 in Cherryville BC. This years
music line up will include Sorella, Priscilla Judd, Christine Kendal Ward
and Ron Clempson. Music will be all day long.
Workshops and demonstrations will be presented by Helen Kovacs
(Glass Bead making), Fred Hook (weaving), Patti Shonek (Coil pottery
bowl), Gary Toma (cigar box guitars) and Colleen Primley (build a book).
Come down and peruse local art , sample local food and help our community celebrate our harvest in creative ways. A great event for the
whole family !

ARTIST OF THE MONTH
VILLAIN WEAR
Villain Wear is a local Cherryville Clothing and Accessories company owned and operated
by Seamstress, Krystal Maya Arcand. Using bright and eclectic fabrics and embellishments to bring out the child in all of us !
Recently Villain Wear has participated in local community projects. Villain Wear was commissioned to provide 20 child aprons for the Cherryville Mom and Tots group to help celebrate Mothers day. Most recently, Krystal Maya donated her time to provide 78 reusable
sandwich bags to help bring awareness and promote garbage free lunches at Cherryville
Elementary school, this was a collaboration between Cherryridge management and Villain
Wear.

MEMBERSHIP
Membership fee’s are $1.00, all proceeds from the memberships contribute to the years coming events. Membership forms are available on the website, by email or at
the Artisans Shop.
Every month we will feature a Member in our newsletter,
website, social media and a meet and greet at the Cherryville library to help promote their art. Artists will also
have the opportunity to be showcased under the pergola
next to the Artisans Shop, during the summers.
Members will receive a reduced fee of $20 for a table at
all events.
We look forward to receiving lots of new members this
year !!

association office. It has been a great
help and was very much needed !!
