A Survey of World Religions
with Hannah Switzer
A summer Sunday school
opportunity is being offered by
Hannah Switzer. The class will
take a closer look at various
world religions; and will include
lessons on those various
religions historical roots,
founders, holy books, basic
teachings, current worldview and
comparisons with Christianity.
You will learn the basic concepts
of each religion and how it
relates to and differs from
Christianity. An excellent
opportunity in understanding
other faiths while also preparing
to defend our own Christian faith.
The class meets in the Chapel.

Dear church family,
There are no words to express my appreciation and gratitude for the wonderful week of worship and praise
we had together in VBS 2015. Many lives were changed. The lives of 160 children, countless members of
the community that will receive Gods blessings in the way of can goods, and over 60 men, women, and
youth that made up this year’s VBS team. The letter below I received from a visitor that served on our team.
I hope it touches your heart as it did mine!! Thank for answering the call!! Thank you for saying yes to VBS
2015!!
Dear Emily,
I just want you to know how much I appreciate the opportunity given to me to work along side you guys at
VBS. I feel truly blessed. You and all your sweet ladies and gentlemen, have been so kind to my children and
my self that my heart is overwhelmed. I was able to meet some of the children's parents , and all with such
sweet spirits. The spirit at your church is such a rare thing. It touched me. Thank so much for being a vessel
for the light of Christ. I have seen Him, and I pray He blesses you and the work you guys are doing there. His
Joy was present this week. Gods grace is amazing, and just when we are the most discouraged He brings
angels to show us His love. Thank you!!
Vacation Bible School
Children’s Fall Literature
The new Sunday School material which we will begin to use in the fall quarter
with preschool and elementary classes is called Deep Blue. This resource
includes adventure, music, exciting stories, arts and crafts--plus and animated
video storytelling and active games!!!! It is all combined into a living-faith
experience that will help children discover what it means to be a disciple of Jesus
Christ today!!!
Families will be able to extend the Deep Blue weekly lesson into the home with a
free, new mobile app for kids!! This app will have mini games which include
scripture jumble, Trivia, Break Out, and a Glider Game.
So get ready for a weekly adventure through the Bible for our children's ministry!!!
Sunday school teachers (Grades 2 years thru 6th Grade) will meet, Tuesday, June 30th at Rio Lindo,
6:00 pm. Please let Emily know if you will be unable to attend our meeting. Please read your sample
lessons, and be ready with any thoughts or questions. We will turn in our new class orders July 1st.
Family Swim Night
WEDNESDAY, June 24th 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Back Acres Country Club

THURSDAY, June 25th - Monday June 29th

Please join us in prayer!! Pray for safety, for leaders and staff, for good weather, for kids to experience life changes and
