January 9 Bingo THE EPIPHANY OF THE LORD We are to share the light of Christ with The story of the Magi is so familiar and yet can still fill us with wonder. As did the ancient Magi, we, too, want to bring our gifts to the manger. These gifts are our commitments to live according to how Jesus taught. Thus, we make the meaning of the Epiphany alive for us today. The light and love of God shines through us and is made manifest in our world. _________________________________________ LITURGY PREP MEETING Next meeting is Tuesday, January 8th at 7:00 p.m. in the office to plan liturgies for Lent and Easter. _________________________________________ FIRST RECONCILIATION AND FIRST COMMUNION The meeting for “Adult Team Leaders” is Wednesday, January 9th at 7:00 p.m. in the office. You created the world, with all its eternal patterns. Winter begins in frost, and ends in Spring’s thaw. Spring begins in new, green life, ending in Summer’s heat. Summer begins in sunshine, and ends in Autumn’s breezes. And autumn’s color leads to the white of Winter again. As another year ends and begins in our lives, Help us to remember that you have made a world of cycles. When fortune turns to trials, or hardship turns to joy, help me take delight in the life I’ve received from you. Remind me that I will one day pass from this world and enter a new life like those who’ve gone before me. Amen.
