Dear Customer,
After the exceptionally colourful summer of 2013,
2014 will keep its sense of fun but with a more
understated, pastel tone.
Gold and silver, sumptuous baroque designs and
cool metallics combined with top quality leather
offer endless opportunities and will steal the show
in your shop window.
But natural materials and tones are also gaining
ground in 2014. Florals are on a strong upward
trend and fill 12 sides in this catalogue.
Last season Papillio® introduced cork uppers to
you for the first time and as a result of its success
we have added brilliant metallics and a leopard
skin design.
Espadrille soles also make a reappearance. You
will find them on the very first pages with our latest favourite animal print: giraffe. We have printed
the simple pattern on summery linen and lined it
with soft leather. The wildlife collection is rounded
off with leopards, zebras and a crazy camouflage
pattern. Try putting designs from this group all together and see how well they complement each
other!

the prices and order dates and likewise the pricelist which can be used as an order form. For ease
of use every design is featured in our model summary on pages 37-39.

suggest possibilities of how the various fabrics and
patterns can be used together.

It’s not just animal print fans who will delight in
the Summer 2014 collection: photographic images,
used widely in contemporary fashion, are also
included and finish off a summer outfit perfectly
when used on Papillio® designs. Allow the realistic
floral photo prints on pages 20 and 21 to captivate
you.
Tradition connects. Papillio® uses fabrics from
the London design house, Liberty, for what are
probably the most delicate Madrids and Gizehs.
The Liberty brand is known worldwide for its Art
Nouveau and floral prints. As fashion is destined to
go floral in 2014, these designs make sure we are
right on trend. You will find more information about
the history of Liberty on pages 18 and 19.
