Thankyou for supporting our competition and we wish all competitors a great day. The events on the day will follow Pony Club rules which refer to the FEI articles for each competition. Entering Pony Club competitions constitutes acknowledgement and acceptance that PCAV rules apply and the acceptance of these rules. PCAV CLUB MEMBER CARDS Any pony club member who does not present an accurate PCAV club member card or lodge a fully completed verification form that proves the PCAV eligibility requirements will be disqualified. A transfer may be made to the corresponding open class on the day if numbers permit. It is your responsibility to ensure that your PCAV club member card is accurate and presented to the organising committee on the day. Note that D.C’s may not alter or correct grading at the competition. If you are not sure on how a PCAV club member card must be completed, please read the Club Member Cards Guidelines in the ‘publications, rules and regulations’ section of the PCAV web site www.ponyclubvic.org.au VERIFICATION FORMS If you have a lost or damaged card, you may present a fully completed verification form to the competition in accordance with the PCAV Handbook of By-laws. The organising committee will not supply verification forms. Verification forms may not be used as an attempt to override membership card inaccuracies. OTHER RULES Apply as per the PCAV Handbook of By-laws and PCAV specific competition rules. Please make sure you read your rules before querying any decisions. Rules can be found in the ‘publications, rules and regulations’ section of the PCAV web site www.ponyclubvic.org.au or from the PCAV state office. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY Neither the Organising Committee of this event nor the PCAV accepts any responsibility whatsoever for any accident, damage, injury or illness to horses, riders, grounds, spectators or any other person or property. RESERVATION OF RIGHT The Organising Committee reserves the right to: • Cancel any class or event • Divide any class • Alter the advertised times • Refuse any entry, with or without stating the reason. ORDERS Riders and owners of competing horses and their assistants must, under penalty of elimination, obey any order or direction given them by any responsible official. All persons on the grounds must be careful not to do anything liable to upset or hinder the progress of the competition. In accordance with PCAV Gear Rules, spot checks may be conducted at the competition. An incorrect helmet will result in disqualification from the entire competition. MEDICAL ARMBANDS All riders, including non-PCAV members are required to wear medical armbands whilst mounted. Please ensure your name and an emergency contact and phone number are correctly completed on the card. The colour of the card is irrelevant - it is the information on it that must be legible and up to date. PRESENTATIONS Presentations will be awarded immediately at the conclusion of each class. Riders must attend presentation in full Pony Club Uniform for Pony Club grades and neat riding attire for open grades. FORBIDDEN ASSISTANCE Outside assistance is forbidden under penalty of elimination. SHOWJUMPING PROGRAM RING 1 – sponsored by BENDIGO BANK Competition over two rounds, first round not against the clock. (Article 273,2.2, 3.3.2, 4.3) Listen to announcements for commencement of each grade. At this time walk the course and place your name on the board. Present to the judge in order advising name, horse name and Pony Club. Pony club and open classes to be run concurrently with presentations awarded separately at the conclusion of each grade. Class 1 A For Pony club combinations Class 1 B For Open Rider combinations Pony Club grades: A – Start 8.30 B E-‐ Start Approx. 10.00am F D C ARTICLE 273 COMPETITION OVER TWO ROUNDS 1. This Competition comprises, with the same speed, two courses, identical or different, either in track or in number of obstacles or in the dimensions of the obstacles. Each Athlete must participate with the same Horse. Athletes, who have been eliminated or who have retired during the first round, may not take part in the second round and may not be placed. 2. All the Athletes have to take part in the first round. The following go forward to the second round according to the conditions of the schedule: 2.2. a limited number of Athletes (at least 25% and in any case, even it is not mentioned in the schedule, all clear rounds) in accordance with their placing in the first round (Penalties and time or Penalties only, according to the conditions of the schedule). 3. The manner of judging this Competition must be specified in the schedule in accordance with one of the following formulas: FEI JUMPING RULES First Round Table A 3.3.2 Not against the clock Second Round Jump-Off Table A Starting order Starting order Against the clock Reverse order of No jump-off penalties in the 1st round 4.3. Athletes will be placed according to aggregate Penalties over both rounds and the time incurred in the second round. RING 2 – sponsored by HORSELAND Two Phase, All riders to complete both Phases. Class 2 A For Pony club combinations Class 2 B For Open Rider combinations Pony club Grades: B – Start 8.30 A-‐ F-‐Start Approx. 10.00am E-‐ C D ARTICLE 274 COMPETITION IN TWO PHASES FEI JUMPING RULES 1. This Competition comprises two phases run without interruption, each at an identical or different speed, the finishing line for the first phase being identical with the starting line for the second phase. 2. The first phase is a course of seven to nine obstacles with or without combinations. The second phase takes place over four to six obstacles, which may include one combination. 3. Athletes penalised in the first phase are halted by ringing the bell after they have jumped the last obstacle or when the time allowed for the first phase has been exceeded, after crossing the finishing line of the first phase. They must stop after crossing the first finishing line. Exception Art. 274.5.6: Unless eliminated, Athletes penalised in the first phase may continue in the second phase. 4. Athletes not penalised in the first phase continue the course, which finishes, after crossing the second finishing line. 5. The manner of judging this Competition must be specified in the schedule in accordance with one of the following formulas: First phase Second phase Placing 5.6. Table A not against the clock Minimum 5 obstacles Maximum 7 obstacles in first phase Table A Against the clock Remaining obstacles (Total of minimum 11 and maximum 13 obstacles in both phases) According to the aggregate penalties in both phases (faults on obstacles and penalties for exceeding the time allowed in both phases) and, if necessary, according to the time of the 2nd phase. 6. Athletes stopped after the first phase may only be placed after Athletes who have taken part in both phases. 7. In the event of equality for first place, the tied Athletes will be placed equal first.
