If you would like to perform at this term’s event you need to see Mrs Bennet and bring any music you may like to use into Mrs Bennett by Wednesday 27 March 2013. TIME: 12:00 noon Premier’s Reading Challenge WHERE: Kurrajong Public School Playground The Premier’s Reading Challenge is well under way and Kurrajong students are taking such an enthusiastic approach to completing the challenge. This year we have decided to make a few changes to our annual Easter Event. Our students will have the choice of 3 different creative activities to make at home for the day. Students can choose to: 1. Design and make a hat to wear in the parade OR 2. Decorate an Easter egg template – available from their teacher OR 3. Decorate Eggs - you can decorate one or more boiled or plastic eggs. You may choose to make your eggs into characters or decorate them with a theme. They may present them in a carton or basket or individually. It is with great pleasure that I make special mention of Cameron Weekes from K/1B who has already completed his challenge! Well done Cameron, you have put in great effort to read 30 books from your K-2 booklist in such a short time. Let’s get creative! Our Easter Parade will start at 12:00pm in the playground. All students will parade around with their Easter hat or craft for all to see. Students will be able to wear their special clothes on the day rather than their uniform. We look forward to some very creative and amazing projects. After the parade we invite all parents to join us for a picnic lunch in the school grounds, followed by a talent sharing afternoon in the hall. There is plenty of time for all to complete the challenge by the end of August. Please see me in the library for any help with the PRC. Keep reading everyone! Miss Muscat In the Library Manning Chia Workshops Attends State Dance Manning Chia last Friday travelled to Sydney to participate in a dance workshop. Congratulations to the following students who will be attending the Stage 3 Gala Day on Friday 5 April 2013. There were 3 workshops during the day, including jazz and creative dance. He had a great day. Well done, Manning! Life Education Van Coming Soon Harold and the Life Education Mobile Classroom will be at school from Monday 8 April to Wednesday 10 April. They are fun and informative, and each child will receive a sticker and a workbook, which will be completed in class during Term 2.
