production washing systems New Vista Oriented-Parts Washers that Serve the Needs of Manufacturers Engaged in Volume Production Model C COMPACT Conveyorized (Linear) Washers Rotary Washers ...with chain conveyor In the photos: ! Washes, strips liquid, rinses, strips liquid, dries and cools. ! Cycle - 12 parts per minute. ! Includes two 80-gallon self-contained tank units. ! Wash and rinse components are easy access. Lexan or stainless liftoff doors. Model V Model B ...utilizing part pucks ...for unmanned, automated service ! Runs different parts with no changeover required; just change the pucks ! Empty pucks are returned to start of washer to be reloaded. In the photos: ! Oriented washing of sprinkler frames In the photos: ! Runs a variety of round parts. ! Cycle - 15 parts per minute. ! Part of a machinery cell. ! Washes, strips liquid, rinses, strips ! Gantry robot loaded; it liquid, dries. ! Includes palletizing unit which sets staggered rows of 5 parts each. unloads itself. ! High pressure cleaning of grooves & crevices ! Washes the part as it rotates, then blows it dry. ! Includes mechanical sensing of Ø.040 hole to guarantee its unobstructed presence. (Fiber Optic is an option.) Parts washing at most plants is an afterthought, a necessary operation that is seen as secondary to the main business of parts making. Therefore, washing equipment is often given little thought. Not so at New Vista; although we specialize in several types of machinery systems, we have sold more production parts washing machines than any other type of equipment. That experience has allowed us to develop standard models that are easily customized to a particular application, while always maintaining signature features such as oriented washing (to better target problem areas) and ease of adaptability to existing production lines. Model T ...with auger conveyance ! New Vista is often asked to provide cell-bridging material handling. Here, a New Vista specialty conveyor catches D-size battery cans coming directly out of a transfer press, inverts them, then transfers them into the New Vista washer. ! After wash, cans are chuted onto conveyor. ! Cycle - 150 parts per minute. ! Washes, rinses and dries. Cans emerge spotless, in only 12 feet of conveyor length. ! Here, part is removed from washer. Next, it will be placed on customer's conveyor. We Don't Cut Corners. All Machinery is Built for Continuous Multi-Shift Operation. Tank Units Tank Units ! Stainless steel construction with two covers for ! Quick-disconnect electrical (Sealtite) and fluid lines easy access. ! Capacities up to 200 gallons. ! Pump motor starts at 1 H.P. and goes up for larger applications. allow for caster-mounted unit to quickly roll away for cleaning. Extra self-contained tank units are available for production runs that can't tolerate downtime. ! An oversize chip basket (strainer) catches the larger contaminants ! Baffles ! Drain valve allows for quick purge of tank. ! Optional: Fluid level switches control automatic water makeup ! Optional: Dual skimmers if oil contamination is a factor. ! Optional: Large-wattage heating elements warm water to 160 degrees. Optional tank insulation allows for higher water temperatures or less energy consumption at same temperature. Conveyor Strip Liquid ! Variable speed up to 6 parts per second. ! Overload clutch protects the drive if a jam occurs ! Adjustable side rails maintain orientation of part to ! Targeted shop air or, for larger parts, high velocity provide for targeted cleaning of key areas. Swing-away in-process access door allows for periodic part inspection. Wash and Rinse Compartment ! Targeted nozzles clean parts on these oriented-parts washers. Over-ported manifold allows for future supplement of additional nozzles. ! Lexan or stainless compartment access doors are easily lifted off Bag Filter at Pump Disharge ! The bag unit filters out smaller particles from 1 to 100 microns (depending on application). ! Inexpensive bags are easily replaced. regenerative blown air removes most liquid to prevent contamination of rinse (after wash) or to aid drying (after rinse). Dryer ! 4,500 watt (or larger) dryer quickly vaporizes water from part. Cooling Capability ! Reduce heat of parts after drying to allow next-step processing. Optional: Ground Fault Device ! To protect in case of short circuit. Optional: Automated Loading and Unloading ! Parts can be chuted into and out of washer; or New Vista will design and build application-specific material handling.
